As they approached Hedian, Yusu observed the aftermath—blood, carnage, and eerie silence. The young man from Hedian, anxious, asked if the attackers had left.
"No," Yusu replied calmly, revealing his knowledge of the situation inside. The villagers were shocked; Yusu's familiarity with Hedian seemed uncanny.
Prepared for action, Yusu and Land moved stealthily, encountering two guards with grotesque physical mutations. Using nature's elements, they incapacitated the guards.
Intriguingly, a sentient spirit within Yusu's staff revealed that these abnormalities resulted from undigested spiritual energy, hinting at a possible origin. With a strategy in mind, Yusu planned to eliminate the threat and investigate further.
Their swift approach astonished the onlooking villagers, realizing the prowess of Yucun's people. Yusu directed Land and Yufeng to wait while he and Land scouted ahead.

Tendrils emerged, restraining guards and impaling their feet. Yufeng and Yumeng swiftly dispatched them, but the battle intensified.

However, the sudden appearance of Yusu's group bewildered the strange creatures. A leader among them shouted something unintelligible before the monsters, realizing the threat, aggressively lunged at Yusu's group.
Yet, their numbers dwindled to less than ten, no match for Yusu's team. The leader, discerning Yusu as their apparent leader, charged to eliminate him, unaware that Yusu was the most formidable among them.
Yusu, nonchalantly, captured the charging leader. With him in custody, Yusu resolved to eliminate the remaining creatures. The bound leader continued to rant in an unknown language.
Having dealt with the other creatures, Land, covered in blood, approached. He forcefully kicked the bound leader to the ground, then stepped on his back, preventing him from rising.
Land's fierce demeanor even caught Yusu's attention. Yusu reminded him not to kill, wanting to interrogate and discover their origin. Land nodded but maintained pressure on the subdued leader.
Land, with an intense aura, questioned the creature in a language even Yusu couldn't understand. Surprisingly, it was the same language the creatures used. Yusu, intrigued, glanced at Land, realizing he could comprehend the creatures' speech.
