Capítulo 20: Chapter Twenty

A gust of wind swept through the training area, carrying with it a charged atmosphere. Ariana's muscles burned with exertion as she threw herself into the rhythm of her rigorous training with other pack warriors. The crisp air of the training grounds filled her lungs, and the relentless training sent droplets of sweat cascading down her determined face.

"You'll do better next time." Her trainer, Jack, said, watching as she was panting breathlessly. "Everyday you train will help you build up your strength."

"I hope I can…."

Suddenly, a familiar voice sliced through the ambient sounds. "Ariana, my sweet," Mia's voice oozed with false sweetness, disrupting the conversation between her and Jack.

She halted, and turned, catching the sight of Mia but not just her. She was accompanied by Liam who had his eyes fixed on her. Beads of sweat clung to her furrowed brow as she assessed the unexpected guests, her breaths coming out in measured huffs.
