Capítulo 219: I'm not empty-headed, I'm just a little confused

Isabelle blushed as she fixed a strand of hair. Quite unbidden the memories of the morning kept popping up in her head. Which was a problem, because she was trying to do very serious, very stuffy work.

It wasn't like anything said or anyone in the room reminded her of it, they just...popped up all on their own.

And it wasn't like she was trying to make them happen, either!

Gah....! Nooo, stop thinking about that right now, Isabelle!

Archibald had been making faces at her for the last hour or so. Subtle ones, but definitely the look of a man questioning his choice of sovereign. He continued to make them at her right that moment, in fact.

Apparently her attempts to hide her embarrassment and her thoughts were not perfect. Thus the increasing long-suffering of her steward's face.

Not like it was her fault, though, so it felt rather unfair to be subjected to such a look.
