The nurses quickly brought the stretchers and transported the three women back to the hospital.
The spiteful, blood-drenched woman, with a broken arm and a dangerously twisted thigh, plead in her eyes: "Doctor, save me, save me! I don't want to die yet!"
She glanced back at another stretcher. The woman with facial injuries had been pronounced dead on the spot, and her body was covered with a white sheet.
The other woman, an older lady who had been run over by a wheel, presented a gruesome sight. Her whole thigh was crushed, most likely requiring amputation.
"Sob... I don't want to die!" The woman with the broken leg cried and screamed, her strength depleted, barely conscious from the intense pain.
Ruth Dawn stood to one side, feeling a sense of pleasure as she watched this scene unfold.
Seeing William Cole following the stretcher, about to enter the operating room to save lives, Ruth quickly stepped forward and grabbed his arm: "What are you doing?"
