"I..."
William Cole opened his mouth, unsure of how to respond.
Minnie Wright spread out the divorce papers and tore them up.
William Cole was shocked. "Minnie, you—"
Minnie casually threw the torn-up divorce papers into the trash. "If you don't want to sign, don't sign it. I don't need a title."
"Having experienced a failed marriage once, I've realized that all I want is to be by your side."
"Divorce is inevitable," William Cole said with a bitter smile as he shook his head. "I want to sign the papers."
Minnie took William's hand, resting her head on his shoulder. "Okay, okay, I know you want to sign, but I've torn the divorce papers and you can't sign now."
She was always so understanding.
If only Ruth Dawn were half as understanding as Minnie... He was lost in these thoughts when his phone rang: "Mr. Cole, the people you wanted us to capture have all been brought in. Not a single one has escaped. They're all locked up in a villa on the outskirts."
