Ash POV –
After my battle with Cynthia, I went to the Pokémon center to give my Pokémon to Nurse Joy, and I was carrying Pikachu with me while walking I couldn't help but think of the fight and grin. I might have lost but it was a narrow loss and a fight I will not forget and I don't think even Cynthia will forget this fight soon I reached the Pokémon center and gave my Pokémon poke-balls and Pikachu to one of the Nurse Joy. and they also congratulated me on the fight and said that was an impressive battle and a battle not to forget and soon after that, I went near the small clearing me and my Pokémon's usually train and I couldn't help and punch the nearby tree, while I was happy to at least go till the final of my first league it was still frustrated me that I lost, not even after putting so much hard work, and my and mine Pokémon blood and sweet in the training. As I was pushing the tree, I was thinking about our training trip, our adventures, the anime my meta-knowledge, etc. After 10 minutes I finally calmed down and fell down the grass field and looked at the stars.
Ash: I won't give up, I still have a long way to go. This is just one of the losses I will take in this world, but I can and will not give up, no matter the struggle and this loss just meant that I wasn't ready to win the league, I still had some time before I could. But I won't give up, yes, I will train more and win. Mom, Brock, Misty, Professor, and my other friends still believe in me and most importantly my Pokémon. As I thought that I got up, and was ready to face the next challenge from tomorrow it's not like I lost due to some mistake or lack of effort, I lost to a better trainer and one of the strongest known Pokémon after legendaries and mythical Pokémon's. as I think that my determination to grow stronger and I know my Pokémon also will train more to get stronger and my Pokémon will be with me all the way, we have many new adventures ahead of us and many more battles, many more gym battles, many more Rivals and I know my rivals like Gary and Cynthia won't just stay still they would also move ahead and I will not be left behind and with that fire in my eyes, I left the clearing to the Pokémon center to see if I could get moms handmade food. As I was thinking that I turned towards the sky to see, a full moon with a full starry sky.
Ash: I just started and this loss won't stop me, I will grow and get stronger. Because the GRIND NEVER ENDS. But first, some food for getting 2nd place and I am way too hungry now.
Saying that I went to find Mom to get some food.
Cynthia POV –
As I was near a lake, near my cabin. I looked at the sky, and I couldn't help but grin remembering the fight, I had with Ash Ketchum. After my 5th Gym battle in Sinnoh, I was tired there was no fun in battling, every battle felt like a chore, a dull I never had any thrill in my battles, but today I finally got back that craze of battle the thrill that I used to feel during battle. Ash Ketchum I know I didn't win this battle is a very highly stretched tie and I know you don't consider this a tie, but when we fight again I will win and I hope you will give me this thrill and excitement in our future battle. Because you are the first RIVAL that I consider to be my match, let us see if we become true rivals or if you become just another stepping stone for me to greatness.
Ash POV –

As the prizes were given, I could see the entire stadium full and people cheering and in the VIP Seat I saw Brock, Misty, Mom, and Professor Oak clapping for both him and Gary and I just grinned and raised my arm holding my Medal.
Later, Gary and Cynthia were in a private room and some league officials wanted to talk with us.
Gary: so Ashy-boy what's your plan after this?
While I was surprised by the question I grinned.
Ash: I am going to train for a while and then I am going to challenge Drake for the Orange Island Cup. What about you Gary? And what about Cynthia? Any plans after this ceremony?
Cynthia: you are competing in the Orange Cup, that's surprising, well I will now go home and then see where I can go, Maybe I will try Unova Region.
Hearing that region name something had gone in my body, but before I could think about it, Gary started to talk.
Gary: well, I will see if Grandpa will allow me to train in the League training grounds.
Cynthia: you want to train in the League training grounds.
Ash: what's the League training ground?
But before anyone could answer the gate was opened to show Professor Oak, Charles Goddshow, and 2 people wearing suits.
Charles: now, champions…..
