Jordan did not care about what Nahor was going to say.
He was going to try his best to make him say yes. No matter what would happen he was going to make sure he accepted.
It was not all about himself. It was all about Nahor. The only thing that mattered right then was Nahor's happiness. If Nahor's happiness was ensured then everyone in the palace would be happy. He was going to make sure that Nahor's happiness was ensured.
His heart was beating so fast.He was not scared but he was feeling so anxious. He did not know whether his plan would work. He did not want his proposal to be rejected so he had to come up with a firm plan and a back up plan just in case the first one did not work. He was only praying that Nahor would be in a good mood. If he was not in a good mood. Everything would completely fail. He hated failure. He only hoped that he would be successful.
If Nahor was not in a good mood, then he was sure everything would fail because if he was in a bad mood he would definitely not listen to anyone. Nahor was not so expressional with his feelings and it was hard to tell whether he was in a good mood or not. But Jordan was his best friend and had known him for a long time so it would not be that difficult to tell the difference.
He only hoped that luck was on his side.
He finally reached the door to Nahor's bedroom. He could not even hear any sound of noise in the room. He knew that Nahor was in the room because Nahor liked his environment so quiet. He would not tolerate any disturbances.
Everyone in the palace greatly feared him.
And after a lot of thought and hesitation, Jordan slowly he knocked on the door.
Nahor did not really like any unnecessary disturbances unless they were very important. If they were not important then that person would regret wasting his time. Nahor would make sure that that person would feel regret and make sure never to repeat the same mistake.
After some minutes after he had knocked, Jordan had his voice. The voice he could not fail to recognize even if he were a million miles far. That cold voice of his that completely showed no emotion. He then heard him speak in his cold voice" Who dares to disturb me? Unless it is very important kindly leave or else you will regret it ! "
"Nahor. It is me Jordan. I have an important matter to discuss with you," Jordan calmly said.
"And if I may know Jordan what kind of important matter do you wish to discuss with me and how important is it ? Nahor asked
"Believe me Nahor when I say that I a it is very important. Then why else would I be here if it were not something that important to discuss The only way you can find out what it is is if I enter your room. My legs are so tired of all this standing so let me in already so that we can get this over with." Jordan said.
"Jordan.I am warning you. This matter must be very important or else,"Nahor replied in his cold voice.
Nahor was always so arrogant and rude. When he spoke even the bravest warriors and strongest kings would shiver deep down and bow down to his command. There was this thing about him that made people fear him so much.
But Jordan was used to Nahor's behavior so Nahor did not scare him.
Not even for a minute.
Jordan entered the room and closed the door behind him.
Nahor was sitting on a chair beside his desk.
It seemed as if he had been writing something before. But when Jordan came in he put it away.
"So what is this important discussion you have been talking about?"Nahor asked.
"Nahor,we have been best friend s since child hood and we have gone through and faced the good and bad times together .Now listen to me carefully Nahor."
"Jordan I don't have time for your silly talks.Get straight to the point!" Nahor angrily shouted.
"Okay calm down Nahor. I do not want you to show negative attitude but The thing is I want you to get married!"
"Jordan! What is the meaning of this abrupt suggestion? I am beginning to believe that you are drunk. Are you really in your right senses? If you were then you would not bring up something silly such as this!"
" Nahor. I know that you think that I am drunk but that is not true. I would like to assure you that I am totally sober Nahor. What I am saying right now I am saying in my right senses. And believe me Nahor I am not kidding. I do want you to get married!"
"Jordan let me tell you this. If that was your important discussion and there is no other matter you have to discuss with me. Then you can be on your way now. , I do not have time for this. Next time you come back. It must be something so important. Now you can leave!"
"Nahor I am sorry to say this but I cannot leave until you say yes!"
"If you think I will I will accept your silly idea. Then you must not be in your rightsenses! Now leave my room before I lose my temper!"
After Nahor had said that he turned his back on him and looked out of the window.
Jordan knew that he could not convince Nahor. So he quietly moved out of the bedroom.
Jordan clearly knew that when Nahor said no. He meant it. He could not change his mind. Nahor had already made his decision so Jordan could do nothing but accept defeat.
But just as he had reached the door step. An idea popped in to his mind.
He then said to himself,"Nahor, you will not refuse now This time I have caught you in my trap."
"You will have to accept this time. This time I won't take no for an answer," Jordan said as he smiled to himself and turned back.
