Capítulo 15: Aoko's Party (Part One)
Taking about half an hour to buy and then arrive near Aoko's house, Shikami quickly drove her car without any effort, while passers-by could only admire the driver who was very good, and above all they saw the car that was an SSC TUATARA.
Only a few knew what this car was and how much it could be worth, and coincidentally a passerby who was currently walking carefree, was fascinated when he saw it.
Without thinking about the consequences of his actions, he jumped into the street without even a hint of hesitation.
Shikami suddenly brakes the car, while looking doubtfully at the boy who was currently admiring his car, who had almost been hit.
Rolling down the window, Shikami looked at him and then asked with some doubt "why did you dive to stop me?"
The boy hearing his question, not even looking at him as he replied in a bland tone "how long do you want this car?"
Shikami looked at him with strange eyes, then without answering his question, she closed the window and parts without even giving him the chance to react.
The boy was very angry by his action, and so he took his cell phone to call the number of his little sister who was very powerful in society.
After a few seconds, a clear voice was heard from the phone "Hello, what do you want little brother?"
The boy immediately explained what had happened, and what he wanted his big sister to do for him. "There was a car I wanted to buy, but the owner doesn't want to sell it. Can you help me find it and get it?"
Clearly he was a very rich boy and therefore born with the golden spoon, so he didn't care too much about others and so he took everything he wanted with the help of his sister who was a CEO.
Until now he had always managed to get what he wanted, but today for the first time he couldn't, so he asked his sister to help him.
"Okay, I'll investigate and then let you know, but you'll have to wait until I finish my work first."
From her sister's not too worried voice, it was clear that she didn't care much about her brother, and not because she was busy with her work, but just because in her family he was the black sheep and no one monitored him or cared about him .
And so Shikami without knowing it, was targeted by a small second generation young man, more precisely his sister.
I finally arrive in front of a house that was on average large and modern, while a girl stood at the entrance wearing a birthday cone hat.
The girl is indeed Aoko. At first she was very surprised to see a super expensive and beautiful car, and so I looked at it with curiosity and then saw who the driver was.
Stopping the car in a parking lot near Aoko's house, he got out and then grabbed all the gifts that were already wrapped.
The birthday girl who saw that the car had parked near her house was very surprised to see who the driver was, especially when she saw how many presents he had taken out of the car.
Shikami arrived in front of the house, I greet her with a smile "Hi Aoko, and Happy Birthday. These are the gifts I got for you, and not knowing what your tastes were given the short time, I took what I thought you might like to a girl your age"
Aoko took more than 5 gift packages and also 7 bags containing clothes from famous brands that she could only dream of, due to the exaggerated cost. With a happy and grateful face, I call his friends who had arrived earlier to help them carry all the gifts, and then sit him inside.
Shikami placed the remaining presents on the free sofa, then admired Aoko's tidy and cozy house, while he could also see that there were some birthday decorations.
There was a nice big table and on it there were pizzas, chips, drinks and other goodies. There were currently six people in the house including Shikami himself, and all but him were female.
The friends who helped Aoko bring the new gifts were also surprised to discover that they were branded and therefore very expensive and above all beautiful. Now they were opening the gift packages instead of Aoko who had approached Shikami to thank him.
"Thank you for coming to Aoko's party, but there was no need to get all these gifts, something simpler would have been enough"
Shikami was happy to see that even though he said all those words, he seemed very happy with those gifts he had brought. So she told him with a kind smile "there is no need to weigh too much the gifts I brought. Today is your birthday so it should be your special day, and for this reason if my gifts can make you happier, I can consider myself satisfied"
Aoko was moved by her words and therefore gladly accepted all those gifts, while she could only shake her head at the behavior of her friends who were currently opening all her gifts.
Her friends were admiring how lucky she was to have a friend like Shikami, so she asked him if she could introduce him to them and thus get this kind of treatment.
But Aoko said "no, I can't ask Shikami to be your friend just to get you branded items. If you want I can give you mine, but don't take it as a useful tool for his wealth"
She clearly wasn't okay with her friends treating Shikami like someone they can get things from. And he who heard her words about her, nor he was impressed and unconsciously began to admire her more.
Aoko was currently chatting, but she could be seen looking at her watch a few times, and Shikami knew why she did so. Kaito, Aoko's childhood best friend was the main cause of this, because she wanted him to be there.
While they waited for his arrival, the party continued with simple but fun games, like the risk game that Shikami won. Now it was 7pm, Aoko was currently very sad because Kaito didn't arrive.
Her friends said words like " Aoko, maybe he's busy with something urgent so he can't come" or even " why don't you just ignore him. Even if you are childhood friends and even neighbors, in the end you are not fiancés "
She could hear all kinds of suggestions from her friends, but none of them could lift Aoko's spirits and she was very sad, so the situation changed drastically.
At this point the party became very heavy and therefore ugly, but none of those present cared. Shikami who, unable to see her down in the dumps on her birthday, asked her perplexed.
" Aoko, can you explain to me why you are so attached to Kaito, even though he always teases you?"
To which she emotionally told him "he has always been with me since my mother died, so I consider him as a dear friend, and when his father died, we shared the loss of our parents.
Even though he may seem immature and always annoying with his constant pranks, he is always a dear friend of mine and also… also…" When he was about to try to say the last part of his sentence, he blushed a lot.
Shikami who saw her face turn red and from her embarrassed behavior, could immediately understand that she liked Kaito.
So he knew that it was useless to try to cheer her up, because only Kaito could succeed in such a feat, as he alone was the only person who cared about Aoko among those present.
Not that Aoko didn't consider them friends, but in the end a friend's word can never be more important than that of a loved one.
Shikami stood up and then said to Aoko "since he doesn't come to your party, then I will go to him to get him, so wait for his arrival and don't show such a sad face anymore, because you are more beautiful when you smile"
Thus under the astonished gaze of Aoko and her friends who could do nothing but watch him leave the house and then get in and drive his car, finally leaving while taking his cell phone and opening an App he created.
This App allowed him to use one of the satellites he owned that had been built by Everclear, his right-hand man, without the knowledge of the whole world and even his own black organization.
Thus putting a photo of Kaito taken from the school's website, I start the global search, more precisely on the whole of Tokyo and Beika City.
Logically the satellite was very powerful and above all efficient, because it could magnify the image until it showed you an ant with a perfect view. I waited for three seconds until the results came back.
When Shikami saw the result of the satellite image, he was somewhat surprised. He flashed a small smile and then going full throttle, he headed in one direction.
