Capítulo 15: Chapter Fifteen

The two ladies stood while their chairs were pulled out for them. Once they were seated, Ziza didn't know what to do. Biting her lip, she waited to see what the queen would do so she’d follow. Yeah that should be safe and simple to follow. When in doubt, do as the queen does. In the meantime, she’d mentally prepare her questionnaire. So many thoughts ran through her mind that she didn't even know which question to ask first. What did a person usually say to a queen?

A soft nudge to her shoulder startled her out of her thoughts, causing her to sit up in her chair. One of the waiters was offering her a wipe, which she accepted with a quiet 'thank you' and quickly sanitized her hands, just as the older woman did.

"Now, we eat." The queen gestured for their dishes to be unveiled.

Hummus, a Levantine Arab dip also very popular in Dhakhar, made of chickpea paste with various other additions. Ziza could eat the dish every day and never get sick of it.
