Ivy's lips curved sensuously as the vial vanished into thin air. "Now, now... We're merely enchanted by a set of irresistible mysteries that beguiled our thoughts. otherwise, sleeplessness might become an unwelcome companion. It's an allure we simply can't resist.." she reassured. Cori pondered for a second, "Okay, fine. What do you want from me, then?" The elf with alluring pink locks responded seductively, "Jamie craves the secret to your two enchanting recipes, while Aspery hungers to explore the craftsmanship of your bag. As for me..." Ivy sensually caressed Cori and carried on, "Ara-ara... I find myself irresistibly intrigued by the mysterious renaissance you bestowed upon our revered duchess."
Cori, cried in exasperation, "Is that seriously it? I barely had a wink." All three of them nodded in agreement. Cori then declared, "Okay, as long as you promise to leave me alone after."
Ivy and Jaime reluctantly agreed, but Aspery had the audacity to suggest an additional safety measure, "Well, if it makes you feel better, we could throw together some kinda magic contract thing." The other two instructors were taken aback. A magic contract was a solemn promise, and anyone breaking it would face immediate divine punishment—a hefty price to pay.
"A magic contract?" Cori questioned, visibly concerned. Jamie cautioned, "If anyone breaks the contract, the punishment would outweigh the benefits." Aspery scoffed, saying, "Aye, I'm reckonin' we can sort out these questions on our own, no need to be overly dependin' on him, ain't that right?" In a heated response, Jamie retorted under her breath, "Are you testing my integrity as a trainer? In this kitchen, I've learned never to underestimate anyone; regret's a bitter dish we'd all taste."
Cori felt the weight of fatigue pressing down on him, but he strengthened his resolve in confronting them. Threateningly, Cori cut in their conversation, "If you guys can't make up your mind, I'll be heading back to sleep." Aspery huffed in irritation, agreeing with Jaime, "Fine! A spoken pact as you all insist!" Unfazed, Cori, sensing the precarious nature of the situation, swiftly analyzed his predicament. "If I acquiesce, there remains a vulnerability to potential exploitation. Perhaps... employing a magic contract would serve as a more effective countermeasure." he thought, his mind racing against the clock. In a sudden turn of events, Cori's voice sliced the tension in the room like a knife, "Wait! I changed my mind! Prepare a magic contract instead!"
The room fell into a charged silence. Both Ivy and Jamie, their disapproving glares intensified, directed their unspoken displeasure at Aspery. The air crackled with uncertainty as the weight of Cori's decision hung in the balance, leaving the trainers on the edge of anticipation, like a taut string ready to snap.
In this trial of desperation, the trainers were positioned for defeat. Reluctantly, Jaime summoned a piece of parchment paper and wrote with a magical feathered pen, "Let it be known through this enchanted pact that the agreement solidifies on this night. Upon the disclosure of the secrets: Cori Bytens' boba tea and satay recipe to Jaime Rockerfell, his bag for scrutiny to Aspery Swordwork, and the tale of saving the duchess to Lady Ivy Bind. Subsequently, it is bound that Trainers Jaime Rockerfell, Lady Ivy Bind, and Aspery Swordwork shall, henceforth, uphold reverence for his privacy and refrain from disrupting his tranquility."
"Hold on, let me change a few things. Trainer Aspery is only entitled to inspect my bag tonight without dismantling it and checking of its contents. And instead of recipes I will only disclose what I know of the cuisines, because I do not have the recipes. And for the information that Ivy wants, I will give it in the form of a small potion sample." Cori requested.
The orc chef quickly modified the pact, "Be it acknowledged within this mystical covenant that the accord becomes binding on this enchanted night. Upon revealing the mysteries: the understanding of Cori Bytens regarding boba tea and satay to Jaime Rockerfell within this night, his bag presented for inspection to Aspery Swordwork tonight, without disassembling its components or emptying and examining its contents, and a modest potion sample extended to Lady Ivy Bind. In the aftermath, it is decreed that Trainers Jaime Rockerfell, Lady Ivy Bind, and Aspery Swordwork shall thereafter maintain respect for his privacy and abstain from disturbing his peace."
The trainers wove their signatures into the luminous script of the enchanted contract. In a moment of anticipation, Cori pressed his paw onto the document, leaving behind a symbol that radiated a mysterious, magical energy. The pact transformed into four arcane symbols, intricately etched above their chests, shimmering with magic.
Cori extracted a small vial, brimming with a mysterious luminous green liquid from his bag. Lady Ivy's eyes widened with excited as she picked the vial from his sticky paws. Cori then adeptly tossed the bag to the dwarf. The dwarf immediately took out his apparatus, examining the fine details of the bag, his rough and well worn hands ran through the grains of its leather.
Jaime the orc had her pen and paper readied like a sprinter in a race, eager to capture any minute details that would advanced her culinary knowledge.
