In "Dream Of The Ancient Period", the Yamagata family stood as a prominent player in the Meiji Era silk trade. Their vast silkworm farm in Kanagawa City flourished, but it was situated along a route unfortunately susceptible to banditry. While the original novel did depict a robbery event, it targeted neither Tsukasa Yamagata nor his immediate family. Lucky for Midori, this knowledge was limited to her and Shinji.
The following day, Midori decided to take Ame for a leisurely stroll. As they meandered through the streets, she detoured to a renowned silk merchant, eager to inquire about their latest collection of silk rolls.
As it turned out, she was not the only customer eager to order new kimonos to welcome the autumn season. Many women, both old and young, lined up in the shop's waiting area to await their turn.
Those who visited the shop often knew each other by their first names.
"Ah, Sumire-san! Long time no see!"
