Capítulo 168: New World

Invisibility Cloak: A legendary artifact from a magical world, said to be one of the Deathly Hallows. When worn, it renders the user invisible, creates visual illusions, and blocks most detection spells.

Weasley Family's Expandable Tent: An enchanted tent from the British wizarding world, a heirloom of the pure-blood Weasley family. Though appearing ordinary from the outside, it is imbued with spatial magic, expanding into a surprisingly spacious dwelling of approximately 150 square meters. However, due to its special material, the tent's defenses are weak and require careful protection.

These intriguing descriptions sparked Wayne's imagination, but he quickly refocused. It was already late, and he still had more expert chests to open.

Ding!

10 expert chests opened.

Obtained: 1521 orens, Bumblebee's slag, three primary equipment enhancement scrolls.

Ding!

6 expert chests opened.

Obtained: 922 orens, a high-level Hunter crossbow.

With that, Wayne had opened all the treasure chests he'd accumulated over the past two years.

Except for a small amount kept for daily expenses, he deposited the rest of the orens into Vivian's coin pouch. Though the Wealth Bank's interest rates were low, it offered security, discretion, and easy access to his funds.

Overall, Wayne was quite pleased with his otherworldly loot. In addition to the numerous mundane items from the ordinary chests, the five rare items from the expert chests were the most exciting.

An invisibility cloak granting permanent invisibility, a room-sized expandable tent, a high-level crossbow from the Diablo universe, Bee's slag from the League of Legends universe (akin to a weaker version of Sunfire Cape), and three primary equipment enhancement scrolls from the Dungeon & Dragons universe, capable of permanently boosting equipment stats.

None of these rare rewards were superfluous; each had practical applications.

In his excitement, Wayne set up the Weasley family's expandable tent in his room. From the outside, it was an unassuming gray canvas tent, occupying only a couple of square meters.

But stepping inside revealed a lavishly decorated tent-like suite, complete with furniture, amenities, a living room, and three bedrooms.

In the wizarding world, a magic tent like this was a status symbol, comparable to a luxury car. Only wealthy pure-blood families could afford such extravagance. For less affluent families like the Weasleys, it was a treasured heirloom.

The world of Harry Potter, Wayne mused, might not boast the most destructive magic, but its versatility was impressive. Potions for luck enhancement, instant teleportation, and spatial devices like this tent were truly wondrous.

And he quickly realized the tent's potential for his own purposes. More than just living quarters, it would serve as a mobile, secure storage space for his growing collection of treasures.

With some rearranging of furniture and rooms, the tent could store a massive amount of supplies within its 150 square meters. Even using only half the space for storage and transport, it could hold an incredible volume.

The only downside was its fragility. Accessing items required setting up the entire tent, and it had to be meticulously guarded against damage from monsters or enemies. Unlike in the Harry Potter world, convenient repair magic was unavailable here. If the tent were damaged, it would likely be irreparable.

Nonetheless, for Wayne, who sorely lacked spatial storage options, this artifact was a godsend. It could safeguard his most precious belongings.

The next morning, Wayne rose late. The magic tent had proven quite entertaining. It wasn't just functional; it also came with some bonus magical items from the Harry Potter universe, which he'd spent a good deal of time exploring.

But once he left the room, Wayne regained his focus. He kept the tent's secret close to his heart. Today was the day he'd explore a new spatial rift.

Triss hadn't yet finalized her arrangements with King Foltest, which would likely take a few more days. In the meantime, Wayne had his eyes on a sealed rift located about thirty to forty kilometers from the floating port, marked on his coordinate map.

The magic carpet could get him there and back in half a day. It was the perfect opportunity for an expedition.

So off he went.

Piloting the carpet, Wayne departed in the morning and reached his destination by noon. The rift was located in a cave beneath a hill on the plains, its entrance well-hidden.

Upon arrival, Wayne found a family of brown bears inhabiting the cave. The mother, seeing uninvited guest, shielded her cubs and rose up on her hind legs, roaring in a menacing display.

Thankfully, Wayne possessed not only the Helenia Talisman, which increased animal affinity, but also his own beast taming skills and the ability to speak animal languages. After a brief conversation with the mother bear, they reached an understanding. The bear family peacefully retreated, allowing him to proceed deeper into the cave.

After navigating the dark depths for about half a minute, his magic senses detected the sealed rift amidst a cluster of cave mushrooms.

Having found his target, Wayne wasted no time. He sat down directly beneath the rift, closed his eyes, and entered a meditative state. Through the faint energy emanating from the crack, he began to perceive the world on the other side.

His growing magical knowledge and experience had sharpened his perception abilities. After ten minutes, he had a clear understanding of the energy signature beyond the rift.

It was tranquil and peaceful, devoid of any evil god's aura. There was no chaotic magic, only a more orderly and benign energy.

This was a good sign. At least within the range of his perception, the other side seemed safe and untainted by malevolent forces.

Wayne placed his pocket watch on a nearby stone, took a deep breath, and reached out to touch the sealed spatial rift.

There was no other way. Despite his Elder Blood, he needed to physically cross over to fully assess the situation. It was a risk, but based on his perception, there didn't seem to be any immediate threats on the other side.

As his bloodline ability activated, another spatial jump commenced. Wayne drifted through the timeless void, trapped in a sensation akin to being encased in a bubble, until he emerged on the other side.

Before he could fully regain his bearings, he found himself in a torch-lit cavern, the air filled with the rhythmic clang of metal striking stone. Accompanying this was a series of guttural sounds, almost like the growling of wild dogs, but with a hint of conversation.

His animal language skills barely allowed him to decipher the meaning:

"Candle... my candle almost out!"

"Have extra candle? Trade for iron ore!"
