The drone made a turn and chased after an escaping Japanese patrol ship. It then launched two AIM-120 Air-to-Air Missiles. The two missiles, one trailing the other, left trails of white smoke as they sped toward the patrol vessel. In a flash, they caught up to the fleeing ship, and a large explosion occurred at the waterline, blowing a huge hole in the hull. Then the second missile followed through the breach and exploded inside the ship. This explosion not only enlarged the hole in the hull but also damaged the structure of the patrol ship, disabling its engines and immobilizing it.
