The atmosphere within the Advance Team became somewhat oppressive due to Luoer's incident. However, it was fortunate that they didn't share a transport plane with Mu Lansi's body, otherwise the strain would have been even more intense.

The surprise attack was followed by a battle for control over Asirens that lasted over three hours. Reimer's predictions were considerably off the mark; after they had successfully seized the anti-gravity engines and the command centre, the enemy did not surrender and continued to resist stubbornly in their desperate situation.

Yet that wasn't the Advance Team's concern anymore. Two transport planes flew towards the flagship stationed in the rear, one after the other. Since Luoer was injured, the Advance Team declined Reimer's request for assistance in attacking Asirens.

The battle continued until dawn, but by then, the members of the Advance Team had already retired to their individual cabins for rest, leaving Reimer with the taxing situation.
