Amanda Smith's presence was essentially unnoticed within Samuel Johnson's social circle. Intentionally or not, Samuel rarely mentioned her over the years. Even Tim Morrison, who was close to Samuel, seldom spoke of that woman.
Everything changed four years ago.
Mr. Johnson, as if mad, was searching for a woman—the one he had seemingly forgotten about—who was suddenly thrust into the limelight. But no matter how curious they were, no matter how they searched, they could not find the woman who drove Samuel Johnson to madness.
In theory, with so much influence at his disposal, locating a person with a name and a face should have been easy. Yet, they could not find her no matter what they tried.
And that search lasted for four years.
Finally, after four years, that woman returned. Everyone privy to the matter was highly curious about the woman called Amanda Smith. Just what kind of ability did she possess to drive Mr. Johnson, so cold and emotionless, to such a frenzy?
