Gremmy had nothing good to say about his life. He spent his day wandering the streets and looking for things to do. He had no perspective in life and no family. He knew many people and even considered some friends, but they were essentially only interested in their own lives.
Every day after finding a place to stay, Gremmy would look to the stars and imagine himself out there and experiencing all those things from the comics one of his pals used to steal.
"There are differences Gremmy. They aren't the same, man. This one here is a maga. That's like a Japanese comic. This other one here is an American comic, called Marvel and this is like the brother and is called DC Comics.
You gotta learn this stuff man. What else would we do the entire day? Here get in on this."
Gremmy would then get to read different mangas and comics together with his friend Paul. It would turn out to become the one thing he loves in the world and every evening, he would imagine doing the cool things he reads.
That was a pipe dream though. But it was still his dream and he often lost himself in his imagination. Like the time when he got into trouble with the police for sleeping illegally in a house that he found to be empty.
.
.
It was a cold evening on the day the event happened. Gremmy was holding the thin clothes as tight as he could. Normally he knew where to spend the night way before it got this late. But today was a bit different. He had to find something new and it was hard.
When he spotted a nice cozy house that was empty, he of course took the chance and entered. He made a mistake though as the place was a crime scene and the police weren't finished with it just yet.
A policeman who went to do the final check saw Gremmy and called out to him.
"Hey!"
Gremmy was frightened and ran away. The policeman ran after him and continued to call out to him.
"Wait!"
Gremmy who initially knew the city like the back of his hands got lost. How was this possible? He grew up here and yet ... he didn't recognize anything. Where was he? How could he get out?
From all around he continued to hear sirens and gunshots, scaring him even more. He continued to walk through the streets for hours before he finally stumbled upon something... weird.
He walked into an alley that seemed particularly dark and ominous. And at the end of the alley, there stood a ... shrouded figure.
Said figure stood behind a table and wasn't moving. However just as Gremmy was about to leave as fast as he could, the figure started to speak.
"Come ... lost one and take a look. For what is here can be found nowhere else."
Gremmy turned around and looked at the figure.
"What are you talking about? What are you? Do you know where I am and how I can get out?"
"I don't know any of those questions. But what I can give you is something that holds tremendous effects. Here ... take a look."
Gremmy looked at the table and saw many different ... vials that seemed to be potions. Like the Harry Potter story he had read. Weird, he thought.
"What is it with these potions?"
"On the table are potions. Choose as many as you like ... or choose none. The choice is yours. But make it quick, before the time runs out."
Gremmy was curious. He had read far too many comics, manga and other stories to see the ridiculousness of the situation he found himself in. He picked one of the vials up. It was the smallest of them all but the liquid seemed to shine the brightest.
Before he could ask what it was, he could hear screams.
"There you are! Finally. Do you know how long I had to run for this? I'll have to make sure to punish you for this."
The policeman had found him. When Gremmy turned around ... the figure and the table were nowhere to be found. Gremmy looked back at the policeman who had taken out his baton and was swinging it.
What followed was a brutal beating that we shall not describe here.
Gremmy lay on the ground. Blood flowed from every orifice and he had lifeless eyes. In desperation, he had tried to drink the potion, in hopes that it was real and he wasn't crazy. But the help, he so desperately hoped for ... never came.
Can you imagine?
The world turned black for Gremmy and he lost consciousness.
.
.
(Gremmy POV)
"Gasp..."
I gasped and opened my eyes. Looking around I can see everything is still black. I must have dreamt all of that. How peculiar. I thought I declined the drugs from Peter. Does it affect you when you're close enough?
Standing up, I could feel the strange sensation that all movements gave me. What is this? It doesn't seem familiar.
I look down at my body and see this white outfit... Who clothed me? Was it Peter? I will have a word with that guy.
Wait a minute ... this is not my hand. I'm not white. What happened to my skin colour? And my hair?!? I'm a blonde white kid now! How did this happen?
.
.
It took me a while to calm down. I could not understand what was happening. If only ... there was some form of mirror to see myself in.
!!!
As soon as I imagined the mirror ... a mirror appeared in front of me. I was shocked, to say the least. Not only did I recognise this person who was looking back at me ... I also understood how a mirror just appeared out of nowhere.
"I am ... Gremmy Thoumeaux. The boy Sternritter from Bleach. One of the Mangas I read with Paul...
HECK YEEEEEESSSSS. THIS IS AWESOME!!! I have powers! I can do all sorts of things. I can fly!!! Woooohoooo!"
.
.
(3rd Person POV)
After calming down from his euphoria, Gremmy stopped and thought about his situation. How did he get here? Was it that person with the potions? Was it the potion he had taken? Was he trapped now? Could he get out?
All sorts of questions started to come into mind and he had to forcefully calm himself down. He had survived on the streets not by freaking out. He knew how to stop and think calmly. The man and that potion had to have been playing some part in this. But what was the potion? He could see the label on the table back then.
It was something like the B... or whatever. He wasn't sure.
In the end, Gremmy decided that it didn't matter why or how he got here. He was here now and so he had to make the most of it. He thought about the manga and about all he knew of Gremmy Thoumeaux.
He was clearly one of the most broken characters in the manga. His power was called V: the Visionary. It allowed him to do anything he could imagine. It was a double-edged sword though as he could also die due to his power. That's what happened in the manga when Gremmy fought Kenpachi Zaraki.
And while he personally thought that it was mostly done to show off Kenpachi's ridiculous new strength, he was sure that there was some truth to it. He had to train his powers and not just accept the way he was now.
After all, Gremmy didn't want to die. He wanted to live and experience new things. And for that ... he had to train. So he started.
.
The first thing that Gremmy did was to create a training plan. You don't start a new life without a plan after all.
His plan was to become strong enough that if he imagined being as strong as Kenpachi Zaraki would not even stress him out. He would change a few things should he have the time and the chance.
He imagined knowing what the old Gremmy knew and lo and behold, he got his memories. He understood that he had just been imprisoned by the king himself as the other Quincy were uncomfortable around him.
Training Plan:
1. Mental Visualization: Gremmy will practice focusing and honing his mental visualization skills. He will start with simple objects such as basic shapes and gradually work his way up to more complex and intricate creations such as diamonds or maybe origami in his mind.
2. Creative Visualization: Gremmy will have to train his creativity by imagining new and unique concepts or creatures. This could help him expand his ability to create innovative and unexpected creations during battles. For example, he could come up with weapons or monsters that have specific powers that help him defeat his enemy.
3. Training with Simulated Scenarios: Gremmy must practice by visualizing and creating simulations of various combat scenarios. This would help him strategize and adapt his abilities to different situations. He knew that in the manga, Gremmy had near to no combat experience and therefore had no real advantage over Kenpachi in that regard.
4. Control and Precision: To avoid unintended consequences like sucking everything in a Black Hole, Gremmy will work on controlling his power with precision. He will start by creating simple objects with specific details and gradually increase the complexity of his creations.
5. Limitations and Boundaries: Understanding the limitations and boundaries of his power was crucial. Gremmy will explore the extent to which he can manipulate reality without overexerting himself or facing consequences. He hoped that he would be able to increase that limit and change things that were thought to be impossible.
6. Meditation and Mental Discipline: Developing mental discipline and focus is vital for Gremmy's power. Meditation and other mindfulness practices could help him maintain control over his abilities and remain calm under pressure. He thought about the techniques from Harry Potter: Occlumency and maybe even Leglimency.
7. Combat Training: Gremmy should practice using his powers in combat situations. He could spar with opponents to refine his abilities and learn how to react swiftly and effectively in battle. To achieve this, he would either have to leave his prison OR create the enemies himself.
8. Feedback and Analysis: Gremmy could keep a journal or record of his training sessions to analyze his progress and identify areas where he needs improvement. So a book and a pen had to be imagined. So he better start soon.
9. Exploring the Imagination: Gremmy will experiment with pushing the boundaries of his imagination to discover new applications of his power. This could lead to the development of unique and unexpected techniques. Like someday he wants to be able to summon a meteor without having to boost his mental powers with a duplicate of himself. He wants to create Black Holes and suns like it's nothing and maybe even more.
Finally, we have Mental Defense: As a countermeasure against psychic attacks, Gremmy might train to fortify his mind and develop a mental shield to protect himself from mental intrusions or illusions. This would help him immensely against Sosuke Aizen and also remove the threat of defeating himself.
So without further ado, let's get to work.
