Once the little dog had finished eating, it roamed around the fence gate, wagging its tail at Ellen.

Looking at the little creature, she hadn't been interested in keeping pets before, but now faced with a dog that had shown up at her door, it wasn't like she couldn't keep it.

The little black dog was still a bit scared, lingering at the doorway, not daring to come in, yet not leaving.

Ellen quickly crafted a simple straw nest for it, left the fence gate open, and got busy with her own matters, while the dog lay there, not leaving either.
