"There are some in the pack that want to return to their old ways. You were a problem because of your association with our target, and now they blame you for the trouble you have caused our master."

So they were blaming me for ruining their plans. I could understand now.

But if they thought I'd stop now just because they were angry, they had another thing coming. I would continue until they got the message loud and clear.
