It was as if a bomb went off in Payu's head. The answer he wanted to hear was given, but he found no joy in it. He was hoping that once they finished sorting Anurak's Issues, things would go back to how they were before. But now that King had spoken his mind, Payu knew there was no going back. He didn't think this would end well but there was nothing he could do about it. Whatever King wants, King gets. This was the rule in their circle. As long as a young master maneuvers within his means and turf, he would be a little God, doing as he likes.
Remembering how he had hired people to take care of Anurak, Payu had a mentally violent shudder that made his legs go weak. Now that he knew the depth of King's feelings for Anurak, he couldn't but thank the heavens that his plans didn't succeed. If he had, King would have investigated and he would have ended up as Anurak's servant in the Netherlands. Payu was sure that King wouldn't let him go.
