Capítulo 14: the power station. (nova)
"all enemy threats neutralized." shifty said as she scanned the area while i looked at aden and gave him a nod as he walked to us while the coversation was starting.
"Neon, i was getting worried back there... Are you sure you didn't go a bit overboard back there?" Anis said with a look of concern as she looked at her.
"Well anis, the bigger the better, that's what i say!" she said as she looked at aden who smiled while aden joined anis in giving her a look of concern.
"uhh the way you are saying that while looking at me is quite concerining." aden asked as if he was getting suspicious about what she was playing at before anis jumped in and responded.
"Well neon, aren't you worried about being unbalanced?" she said while still concerned about the new member that had joined hours ago before neon started speaking up.
"well, let me tell you something, Anis." she asked as she looked at anis, "in this world, the only thing standing between us and the enemy is our weapons." Neon explained as i listened while aden was with me and was holding a pice of paper with the words no hope written on there.
"if i end up not being perfectly balanced as a result, then that's a risk i'm willing to take." she said as she looked at us.
"hmm, i see." anis said as she looked at her while neon smiled, "all right, everyone, follow me." she said as we all looked at each other and nod as we followed her.
"firepower wins the day! hip hip hooray!" neon said as anis and aden replied with "no."
11:30 AM. (30 minutes before PM)
As we were heading to our lacation, aden told us about what was going on in his world with the wars that were happening, and we all felt bad for him.
"sucks you had to be in this state." i said as aden nods his head. "yeah, i mean the world is heading into world war 3 at this point, and i do not want japan to get caught in it." he asked as anis looked at him.
"you plan on going there." she said as aden smiles. "yeah, i want to enjoy the view and get good things while there."
"Sounds like your fave dream." Rapi asked as Aden smiled with a "yes."
as we arrived, i could hear shifty give us comfirmation about the area, "Location of power station confirmed. you may now proceed, and new into from the ark suggests that you should bring aden back to the ark when this is over." she said as we did so with a nod as aden smiled.
"well concidering that this place could be crawling with raptures, we probably shouldn't just waltz in through the front door." Anis said as i agreed and did not want any casualty's on my hands while she continued.
"and besides, i do not want to crash a raptures house party and end up as an entree." she explained as the thought of that happening would give me nightmares as i looked at one of them.
"is the power in the power station still in operation?" i asked as "roger was all i got from shifty who confirmed that the electricity was still on before she continued.
"Reports indicate that it resumed operation not long ago, athough no one knows how or why." she explained as we all looked at the area that was abandoned.
"is anyone in there." aden asked as if he wanted to know cause of the power that was still running in the area.
"well aden, offcially, there are supposed to be zero humans remaining on the surface, but it would be best if we expect the unexpected, we've attempted to investigate this strange phenomenon several times in the past, but nothing came of it." was all she wanted aden to hear as i nod and looked for any openings or entrances.
"apparently, we sent in a large band of troops before, but they were surrounded by hordes of raptures and got destroyed instantly." anis told aden as he looked at the area while hearing what she had to say.
"so the raptures killed them all." aden asked as anis nods.
"well anis, putting aside the possibility of potential survivors, the power station itself is of greate significance." she said as she went ahead and continued. "A power station of this size could supply electricity to all the facilities in the ark for two months." shifty confirmed.
"in other words, this operation is at the importance." she said as anis jumped in, "Well apparently, it's not important enough to send more than just three... five people i mean."
"Anis." rapi called out.
"What's wrong rapi?" anis replied.
"do you seriously and really intend on bowing out of this operation?" Rapi said as she looked at her.
"I.. Uhh.. No." Anis responded as she rubbed the back of her head as rapi responded. "then i would suggest that you think before you speak, same goes for you aden." she said as she saw aden start to nod.
"I will." he replied as she looked back at anis.
