Capítulo 32: Doctor’s Appointment

Doreen and Joshy had their quiet time together. The mother, having her tea, while her son, finally finishing his breakfast of pancakes, was a nice change from a father and a son bickering earlier. After a few moments of silence, Doreen stood up, with her cup of tea with her.

"Okay, Joshy, I have to go. I have a doctor's appointment today. I am sorry if I have to leave right now. It is hard to reschedule for another slot."

Doreen announced to her son, gently messing his hair a bit.

Joshy looked up to check on his mother.

"You're going to the doctor? Are you okay, Mom? Is anything wrong?"

Joshy asked Doreen, with a concerned tone. The remaining pancakes, forgotten for now.

Doreen sat back, placing her cup down on the tray. She held her son's face with both her hands, caressing his cheeks.

"Oh, don't worry my Joshy. It's just a routine check-up. There's nothing to worry about."
