Kristina eyed the unknown man all starry eyed.
It was something out of a magical fantasy story of a knight saving the princess.
Like some sort of hero from old, the unknown man didn't question the circumstances in the slightest right
But what the stories failed to tell was how gory the hero would get when saving the helpless princess stuck in the tower.
Or how not so helpless the princess really was to survive being stuck in a tower filled to the brim with monsters.
Rotten blood splattered the caves walls before clinging to it as if some sort of undead virus as heads were spun up and bodies were split.
Skulls were pierced by arrows while a few of them were kicked off of their necks.
The rotted bodies doing little to put up a resistance against the incredible physical strength of the man.
It was a bloody massacre.
And with nothing but brute strength and rather clumsy movements, the man fought.
Pickaxe being swung around like some sort of godly armament, every single time it was brought down at least one monster was losing a limb.
A good majority of the time it was the head.
Spinning around, the skulls of the skeleton firing arrows was stuck to the wall as the pickaxe was swung with incredible force and lodge it into the wall.
Incredibly lodged into the wall.
Sweat pouring down his head, the man wiped it off before finally focusing on the trio of women who blatantly and blankly staring at him.
Well only one of them was blankly staring at him while the other two were blatantly walking forwards.
And despite the rancid scent of rotten blood covering his body, the man stared at the two nearing him.
And looking at the two women, the man didn't even seem to expect the words that came out of their mouths.
"Can I have your blood?"
"Who was your teacher?"
Seeing her friends and their antics Rina sighed to herself as she wondered how the hell did they gather when they clearly had different personalities.
Wiping her fingers across her face and dragging the skin across it she groaned into her palms.
Dragging the attention of the man to her.
"Are you okay?" Concern evident in his voice Rina groaned louder into her palms.
"I'm fine... But"
Glancing up to the unknown man with a sharp glint in her eye she spoke. "Who even are you?"
"Oh yeah! We should introduce ourselves!"
Jumping away from Amanda who was silently shaking the unknown man.
Kristina bowed to the man "My name is Kristina an adventurer belonging to the adventurers guild, a mage focused in the art of healing"
Amanda who silently shook the man wiped the blood on her forehead and spoke "My name is Amanda, an adventurer, I study assassination"
Eyebrow twitching very quickly at the poor greeting from Amanda, Rina breathed out slowly to get rid of her frustration.
"My name is Rina, and the same as my friends we are an adventurer party called the Thorny Roses, I am the camp setter and the only hunter"
"But aren't you an archer?"
"Same thing!" Snapping at Amanda's words Rina sighed again.
Taking that time to ask a question the unknown man asked. "So what is an adventurer? And a guild? Hell Even the mage?"
Blinking abruptly at those words which should've been common sense to everyone but what seems like this man.
Rina took a while to understand what it was the man was actually asking.
Even the other two who were pestering the man who was slightly uncomfortable with their antics which would seem strange to the outside eye.
Stopped their antics and stared at the man dumbfoundedly, before returning to their antics just as quickly.
"So you don't know about mages? Which is honestly fair as mages are rare"
"But you seriously don't even know what is an adventurer? Not even a guild?!"
"... Should I know them?"
"..." Rina placed her fingers to her forehead and shook her head, muttering to herself "Rina, you should know by now"
"Well if you aren't going to explain what an adventurer is then I will" Kristina grabbed a small knife from somewhere alongside a vial.
"Can I take some blood? I can sense a great vitality from you"
"Sure"
"Good" Cutting a slit into the unknown man's hand causing Rina to just collapse on the ground and mutter.
"How have I been surrounded by only psychopaths?"
Collecting the blood into a vial Kristina spoke.
"So basically an adventurer is a type of profession you know what that is right?"
"Yes"
"Thank GOD He's not clueless"
Ignoring the exclamation from Rina, Kristina nodded.
"So I don't think I should explain the concept of classes... do I?"
"What is a class?"
"HE'S STILL CLUELESS AS FU--" Having a seizure off to the side Amanda calmly disappeared from the man's side and moved to Rina's.
"... Can I have a piece of your hair? I feel like I need to compensated for this piece of common sense."
"On fire or not?"
"...What?"
"OoOH! You can turn your hair into flames? I would like both please!"
"Sure"
Plucking out a piece of hair out of his head, it quickly burst into flames as he tried to grab a piece of his flaming hair.
"I haven't tried to do it yet but... It should worK!" Grabbing a piece of his flaming hair off his head he handed both to Kristina.
Who gratefully grabbed them and put the flaming strand into a small glass jar.
Rina who stared at the flaming head of black flame undulating just fell onto her back.
"Why are you still surprised Rina? You should've learned by now to expect the unexpected... I never will learn that actually"
"Thank you!"
Packing the jar with the flaming hair, vial of greyish red blood and a small packet of hair into her satchel Kristina cleared her throat.
"So as you've heard an adventurer is a type of profession right?" Seeing a nod from the unknown man in reply Kristina continued.
"An adventurer usually takes requests from... anyone really and gets a reward in return, usually monetary"
"Those requests could range from anything from finding a few herbs, eradicating monsters, guarding people, rescues and returning lost items if found"
"The rewards although mostly monetary, could also range from favors, items and potions"
"And the guild is... basically a place where a gathering of a single profession is most prominent."
"In a merchants guild there are usually merchants and in an adventurers guild adventurers, Understand?"
"Yes"
"And what the guilds do besides organizing things related to them, is give out organized commissions"
"So basically the requests but standardized?"
"I don't know what that means but I think so!"
"So classes... Well as I said I am a mage who developed in the healing sub category"
Showing her hands that burst out in green light she smiled.
"That is basically a class in essence"
"... I need more explanation"
"Ok, maybe I'm approaching this wrongly"
Pausing a bit to churn her brain Amanda the quiet one interjected.
"A class is a type of job that you get when you grow, to compare you are most likely a warrior from the way you fight"
"..."
"And all types of classes exist, ranging from archers, priests, mages, warriors, pharmacists, smiths, merchants basically a profession"
Rina groaned on the groaned on the ground.
"For example Rina is a archer who specializes in hunting so we call her a hunter"
"So you won't let me call myself an archer but let yourself say that? Where is the fairness in the world."
"In the hands of the rich"
"..."
Popping her mouth Rina found no way to refute that.
So she settled with changing the subject. "So then... now that we have explained a few pieces of common sense and told you who we are"
"Who are you?"
The unknown man paused as he heard that question and spoke.
"Well I am..."
