PRINCE ULYSSES'S POV 

I sat on the bed and leaned back on the headboard with my eyes closed. Kloud stood at the door, and I chose to ignore him. The feelings of anger and betrayal rose deep in my heart. 

Astaroth wanted me dead? That was news to me. I thought that it was just jealousy but for the King to want me dead…

“I am waiting for you to recollect your thoughts and then ask the questions,” Kloud stated. I heard him walk to the bedside and pick up the bottle.

My eyes snapped open, and I wondered if he was an alcoholic.

“Alcohol does not affect my body,” he stated as if he had heard my thoughts, and took a big gulp, emptying the remaining liquor in the bottle. 

Kloud Godric was a rogue beast through and through. He never cared for anything, and my mind wandered in fear if I was going to survive this marriage. 

“Your King Astaroth suggested that I kill you,” he said with a chuckle.

My eyes widened at his laughter.
