Capítulo 72: The Engaged Couple

John had spent the morning organising and gathering a group of people capable enough of fending for themselves, a group that could protect the engineers and sent them towards the power plant to assess the damage. 

As he waited by himself in the courtyard, Maria approached him. John looked at her and smiled as he saw her new clean appearance. 

"You look good," he flashed her a cheeky grin, poking fun at her previous dirty appearance.

Maria chuckled, "thank you."

John stole a glance at Marco who looked at them with a serious expression. John smirked as he noticed him.

"Great news, Maria, we might have hot water soon."

Maria arched an eyebrow as she deciphered his intention.

"You won't be known as that dirty chick anymore."

Maria furrowed her eyebrows, her voice sharp, "what?"

"Hey, hey, relax. I'm just messing with you," John said, raising his hands in a placating gesture.
