Chapter 71
KE wanted to cry without tears, feeling incredibly wronged. He didn't even want to sneeze, unaware that he could only sneeze because of his evolved body, now making it impossible for him to get infected or even fall ill.
Even the strongest diseases couldn't affect him, so how could he sneeze? He felt this puzzle would become an eternal enigma, impossible to solve.
Emilia's eyes widened, unable to believe what Seira said, "Ehhhh, Sensei, you're saying, wait, are you saying there's a teacher who can teach us, who have already reached the pinnacle?"
Emilia was right. For those who had reached the level of Migrating Mirage Rank Infinite Mirage World, it was impossible to find a teacher who could help them breakthrough to Fading Time Rank Brief Moments World, which was already the peak.
If you wanted to ascend to higher levels, it depended on whether you deserved it or worked hard.
If your luck wasn't good, or you didn't work hard, then it was impossible to reach higher levels.
Now, Emilia had witnessed a teacher who could... [wait a moment, don't tell me]
A blonde girl swallowed her words, realizing the only person who could do such impossible tasks was the same person her father had betrothed her to.
Seira could see Emilia's expression turning to stone from the shock. She knew she had additional information about her Sensei, perhaps she really should talk to Kanae for information.
Although Emilia was her friend, she was also her unfortunate enemy. She didn't know that Emilia had become KE's fiancée; if she had known, she wouldn't have spoken to her so comfortably.
"Ahem, well, let me first seal Hentengu, and then we must go to support Raizel," Kanae said, stopping everyone from talking suddenly upon hearing her, then remembering that the battle indeed hadn't ended and there were more enemies to face.
M-21 was crying while holding M-24, his mind currently in chaos, trying to heal the huge hole in M-24's stomach, but to no avail.
Even his Etheora aura had disappeared halfway through healing. M-21 raised his head, staring at Shark with his red eyes filled with hatred.
Tao and Takeo were also full of wounds from their fights against Shark and Hammer. When Tao saw M-21 blinded by hatred, he slapped him across the face.
Slap!
Takeo and M-21, especially M-21 who was in a rage, swallowed whatever he wanted to say when he heard Tao yelling at him, "You fool, do you want to throw away M-24's sacrifice?" Hearing about M-24's sacrifice, tears gathered again, but this time, he calmed down.
**Half an hour earlier**
Hammer and Shark had wanted to kill everyone in the hidden blacksmith village to eliminate all witnesses to their presence.
Kranz knew what Hammer said was nonsense, but he also wanted no witnesses, so he agreed.
All this happened in front of Tao, Takeo, M-21, M-24. Initially, they felt it wasn't worth it. Tao tried to talk to Kranz, who scared him by reminding him of Dr. Aris.
Although Kranz was scared, he didn't care and protected himself with an invisible shield, knowing the mission was very important.
Tao wanted to fight, but remembered Kranz was at the level of {Migrating Mirage Rank Infinite Mirage World} and he was at {Migrating Mirage Rank Expansive Mirage World}.
So, it was impossible to fight him, at least not now. Takeo, M-21, and M-24 wanted to try, but were silenced by Tao. They noticed his eyes hadn't given up and seemed to have a plan, so they nodded to him and followed his lead.
Tao knew Kranz wouldn't stay with them because he had another more important mission sent by Dr. Crombel himself after receiving some secret information about the awakening of the strongest existence in the Noble race from his slumber.
Since the great war, the Union learned a lot about Noble secrets, especially about the existence of Raizel. Of course, he could ask other Noble rebels, but all he got was outright refusal.
True, they rebelled, but they never erased the idea that they were from Lukedonia and from the Nobles. They never agreed to anything against Nobles ever.
After Kranz left to seek his death, unaware of it, Tao nodded to them, and they rebelled.
The battle was initially even, but the side with the upper hand was Hammer and Shark.
The battle was everywhere—in forests, rivers, lakes, even caves and mountains. They didn't fight in just one place. This was Tao's plan to simply wear them out. It was a battle of endurance.
Tao betted that they would tire first, and then he and Takeo would finish the battle by killing them while M-21 and M-24 protected their rear.
But everything changed when they found a group of families in the hidden blacksmith village hiding in one of the secret caves of the Kotobuki clan.
Hammer, smarter than Shark, thought he could use these families because there were seven children present to create a breach against Tao's team.
"Shark, cover me," roared Shark to him, nodding while Hammer gathered his Etheora aura and threw it into the cave.
"Run away, humans, quickly," Tao shouted to the families in the cave, who nodded, while Takeo blocked Hammer's aura ball.
"Heh, do you really think I'm the type who doesn't have a backup plan, Tao?" Tao's eyes widened when he heard Hammer's mocking. Suddenly, Hammer's aura ball turned into a blinding white beam, blinding everyone, including Hammer himself.
A little girl didn't notice a rock and tripped over it.
Shark, unaffected by the white light due to his special eyes, wanted to kill the little girl because of his killing obsession.
Even Hammer didn't know that Shark had lost control over his killing obsession.
Thud!
When the white light disappeared and their vision slowly returned, everyone's eyes widened upon seeing Shark had made a huge hole in M-24's stomach.
"Aghhhhhhhh," M-21 screamed, hitting Shark's face with strength beyond his own, making Hammer tremble as he heard the sound of Shark's skull cracking.
The little girl couldn't look because M-24 covered her eyes with his large hand.
"Ahem, ahem, Takeo... quickly, move... ahem, the girl," M-24 coughed up a lot of blood but still maintained his smile, causing Takeo's heart to clench.
Tao's lips trembled, and he struck Hammer, making him retreat.
"Tche, Shark, you fool, didn't I instruct you to kill Tao or Takeo?" Hammer yelled at Shark and pulled out a small device, making Shark show fear.
"It seems you never learn," Hammer pressed the device, and many electric shocks emerged from Shark's body.
This device was arranged by some of the doctors when Shark was an experiment subject to control him.
Every time Shark was filled with a killing intent and lost his mind, they would press the device, and he would be tortured with electricity.
Due to the frequent use of this device, Shark was terrified, and his small mind was filled with fear.
"Let's get out of here quickly," Hammer felt a very bad omen when he saw M-21 becoming stronger in a strange and mysterious way. He knew M-21 was also an experiment subject for the Union, but he didn't know what was in his past life before his memories were erased.
**Half an hour later**
M-24 felt his life fading away, and mysterious memories he knew nothing about began to appear, from his birth to having a younger brother, to their parents' death.
They became orphans, so he had to work and became a soldier in one of the kingdoms.
He fought in many wars; his life was all dark except for one white spot - when he was with his younger brother.
Every smile from his younger brother made his will as strong as stone, unshakeable.
Until the day everything changed - his brother was tortured and killed by some high-ranking humans in the army out of jealousy because the king wanted to promote him to general.
When M-24 learned about this, he completely broke down, but his mind was filled with the idea of revenge.
He began killing everyone who stood in his way until he killed all those who participated in torturing and killing his younger brother.
But because of his kind heart, he never touched their families and never harmed anyone. It was known since he joined the army that he was very kind.
He loved to help the poor and orphaned children and was even loved by the king, so when the king learned of his deed, he forgave him. Even the kingdom's people didn't hate him because anyone at that time would have done worse than he did if it happened to them.
