The Continent of Luxion was shared by a total of 6 countries namely, the Tatum Kingdom, Avalon Kingdom, Port Carnel, Phalanx Empire, Elves Dynasty, and the Trozar Kingdom.
The Tatum Kingdom was known for its advancement in magic and study. The Avalon Kingdom was known for its development and invention of new magic items. Port Carnel was known for its transportation in the sea and great merchants. The Phalanx Empire was known for its army and military.
As for the Elves Dynasty, it was a paradise land consisting of elves and other beast-human-like people. The Trozar Kingdom was an exclusive place with dwarves ruling over the area. They are in charge of building magic weapons and are known for their craftsmanship.
All 6 countries had entered a peace treaty with the rise of demons invading the Continent of Luxion. Thus, there has not been a war erupting for a long time compared to the past.
In the past, each Kingdom would constantly declare war in hopes of obtaining more resources or kidnapping rare species for their fetishes.
"So Tristina, have there been any recent activities between other Kingdoms?" Lawrence asked once Tristina finished relaying the current geography for him.
His knowledge of geography was only at the time when everything had turned to ruin, so he needed to refresh his knowledge of the current timeline.
Tristina, who was standing on the side calmly responded, "The Phalanx Empire and the Avalon Kingdom have had hostility with each other recently.
The Phalanx Empire wished to purchase more magic items but the Avalon Kingdom refused their offer due to fear of their increasing military power and threats to the other countries."
Lawrence nodded his head in understanding.
'The Phalanx Empire is always filled with hot-headed men who only wished to fight. It's no wonder why they would clash with the peace-seeking Avalon Kingdom.' He thought.
"Our Queen must be in quite a headache in mending the relationship between them."
Tristina was stunned for a brief moment when she heard his muttering. 'When did the Young Master become interested in the current world's affairs?'
Sometime later, Lawrence finished his breakfast and handed the plate to Tristina.
"Um… Young Master?" Tristina held a confused expression as she glanced at him.
"Why are you handing me the empty plate?" She asked.
"Aren't you my maid? Shouldn't you be cleaning the dishes since I'm off to the Tatum Academy now?" Lawrence raised an eyebrow. Just because he went back to the past doesn't mean he forgot about basic etiquette and the role of the people working for him.
Alas, too many things had happened and Lawrence had forgotten the main point already.
"Young Master, I'm attending the Tatum Academy with you," Tristina said, shredding off the outer layer of clothes in front of him, revealing her uniform.
Lawrence almost choked on his saliva.
"Wait a minute… you're joining the Tatum Academy as well?" He asked in disbelief. He was more surprised by the fact that she was also enrolled in the Tatum Academy than the fact that she was wearing the uniform under her maid outfit the whole time.
Meanwhile, Tristina breathed out a defeated sigh as she gently explained how and why she was enrolled in the Tatum Academy.
"The Marquis believed that you will definitely cause troubles in the academy and specifically ordered me to assist you." She said, reminding him of his notorious deeds.
Lawrence coughed for a moment as he nodded his head. As much as he wanted to defend his honor, he knew full well about his notorious deed.
Despite the fact that he was able to live scot-free now, being in the military at his older age had matured his mindset. Although he could not undo the past, the least he could do was try his best to redeem himself.
The women that he had harmed in the past, Lawrence vowed to himself to give them a satisfactory compensation even if it was difficult.
"Anyway, let's head to the Tatum Academy then." He stood up from his comfy chair and said.
"Yes, Young Master. The horse carriage is already ready for you by the front door."
"Am I a cripple?" Lawrence asked sarcastically. "It's just walking to the academy. I don't need to sit in a carriage when I can walk as a form of exercise."
"A-Alrighty then…" Tristina said stutteringly. 'Did the Young Master eat some wrong medicine this morning? He actually preferred walking over sitting in the comfortable horse carriage?'
Sometime later, Lawrence and Trsitina walked out of the Carrion Household.
The morning sun in the sky instantly blinded Lawrence's eyesight for a brief moment.
He stood still for a few moments, admiring the beautiful sky and weather that he never expected to be able to see again.
'Ever since the catastrophe of the demon invasion, the sky would be dark and gloomy due to the decomposition of corpses lying across the Continent of Luxion.' Lawrence's gaze was filled with sorrow. His hand slowly turned into a fist as he clenched it tightly, seemingly in deep regret at how powerless he was to prevent their world's destruction.
"Let's go," he said after a while, admiring the bustling streets of the Tatum Kingdom.
Every building and house was built in bricks using cement, a method created with the use of Earth element magic. That way, the buildings would be secured even in the face of an attack from invaders.
In addition to that, paintings were also used to make the buildings more colorful, creating a blissful and tranquil living environment for the citizens of Tatum Kingdom.
As Lawrence continued to walk forward, he noticed a large water fountain with a statue of their current queen, Elizabeth Von Vermillion, sculptured for everyone's view.
Some children could be seen throwing a bronze coin on the water as they closed their eyes and clasped their hands together, clearly praying for something.
Seeing that, Lawrence decided to pray as well and retrieved a small gold coin from his pouch. Given his nobility status, he rarely had small chumps of change such as a bronze coin on his hand.
He took a step forward and threw the gold coin on the water fountain, shocking the people nearby with his luxurious offering.
Lawrence ignored the shock and gaze from the others as he sincerely prayed in his heart.
'May the Continent of Luxion continue to prosper for eternity.'
