Capítulo 19: Chapter Eighteen
"So, you got a mission?"
I asked, absently reclining in my chair looking at Akira with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah, with someone from Kyoto."
I hummed, looking back at the blackboard.
"Are you going to pull the same thing you did with me?"
He chuckled, running a hand through his hair.
"I'm going to come up with something I want you to Tattoo on me when you come back."
He shrugged, nodding in agreement.
"Fine with me."
He took a sip of his energy drink, humming in contentment.
I sipped on my own. Nothing like getting my old addictions back.
Chuckling at my own thoughts, I looked up at the ceiling.
"So... You and Shoko, huh?"
I blinked and turned my head to him with a raised eyebrow.
"What?"
He shrugged.
"You two have been spending a lot of time together lately..."
I shrugged.
"She's easier to hand out with than Geto or Gojo, so..."
He returned the raised eyebrow, tilting his head to the side. Putting down the energy drink on the table, he straightened up in his chair, the front two feet of it making contact with the floor again.
"Well, can't argue with that, but is that all?"
He smirked, and for some reason, that smirked annoyed the shit out of me.
"What else is there supposed to be?"
I sighed, putting my elbow on my desk and my head on my palm.
"I dunno."
I huffed, tilting my head slightly to look at him in my peripheral vision.
"What about you? Anyone special?"
He shrugged, playing with the can in front of him.
"Nope."
Rolling my eyes, I stood up and walked to the window. Sliding it open, I pulled out my pack of cigarettes, lighting one and inhaling the smoke.
"Any luck with the simple domain?"
I shrugged at his question, exhaling the smoke
"I got it down a few days ago."
He hummed as I flicked the ashes off the cigarette.
"Is that so..."
I got an uneasy feeling, my head turning to him, seeing him flipping me off.
"Domain expansion:-"
This bitch...
"Borderless canvass."
Aw fuck, Fuck, Fuck, Fuck.
The classroom went while, the window I was standing in front of disappeared, leaving behind a blank white space. The world seemed like everything but the two of us were edited out in a shitty Photoshop program the potato computers could run.
Annoyance bubbled inside of me as my cursed energy reservoir rippled, forming to my will as the cursed energy leaked from beneath my feet.
The edges of the small pool smoothed out and spun in a circular motion, keeping the cursed energy inside the barrier.
My cursed energy pool acted like a barrier, creating a small hole in the programming of the domain expansion, an outside interference in a flawless system.
"Not bad..."
Akira muttered.
"Almost at the same time as my domain expansion, you really are a perfectionist, aren't you?"
The domain expansion fizzled out, leaving my simple domain deployed as I sighed.
"You asshole, you could have just asked me to use it..."
I rubbed my forehead with the back of my hand, leaning against the windowsill. Akira just chuckled, taking a sip of the energy drink again.
"Wouldn't be as effective outside of a domain, unless it was a special sensory simple domain."
I blinked, raising an eyebrow.
"Sensory?"
I asked, raising an eyebrow in interest as my simple domain dispersed. Akira nodded, squeezing the can in his hand and crushing it, tossing it into the trash can across the room.
"Yeah, it's basically like a sensory field, if anything enters, you can feel it."
I hummed in interest, taking another drag from the cigarette. I would have to figure that out, a sensory field sounded very tempting. If I could learn that, I had a few ideas that might just work.
"Sounds useful..."
I muttered, tilting my head back as Akira stood up, stretching his hand over his head, and releasing a sigh.
"Alright, I'm going to head out, someone should come pick me up in half an hour to take me to the meeting spot."
I nodded and watched as he walked out of the room.
Crazy bastard...
I chuckled. Pulling a domain expansion on me just to see if I learned something correctly.
Taking another drag from the cigarette, I exhaled the smoke.
"... Sensory field, huh?"
I muttered, my eyes narrowing in thought. Add that to the list of projects I needed to complete.
