Capítulo 131: I'm Harley Quinn!~

In Arkham, what is the purpose of someone coming to this place abandoned by God? The answer is simple, to help someone escape.

The sound of this alarm was nothing new for all the guards and staff, as it only sounded when there was an escape attempt, either from the inside or from the outside.

...

The Joker laughed while wearing a straitjacket, which they put on him after he gouged out a guard's eye who didn't laugh at his joke.

"Ha Ha Ha Ha! Why didn't anyone tell me it's Christmas?!" The Joker leaned against the door of his confinement cell. "Tell Santa I want a sweater made by Batsy!!~"

"Shut up, clown..." said the prisoner in the confinement cell next door.

Having a designated area to oneself was a luxury, so not far from the Joker were other dangerous criminals. One of those in a bad mood was the one who shut the Joker up.

"Stop being a killjoy! Where's your Christmas spirit?!" he replied to the Joker with a terrifying smile that showed all his teeth and his bloodshot eyes, a terrifying clown far from the comical version of cartoons.

On the other hand, the man who dared to respond to the Joker like that was Victor Zsasz, better known as Mr. Zsasz, Gotham's top hitman. Although he currently works as a security consultant for the Penguin.

It's not Christmas" said Victor, biting his teeth. He was a Caucasian man with a bald head and sunken eyes, he enjoyed killing and was as ruthless as the Joker.

"Yes, I get it... I won't bother you anymore, cueball~ it's just that I like Christmas~ Ha ha ha!!" The Joker's smile grew darker as the seconds passed. Even a ruthless man like Victor Zsasz thought it was better to keep his distance from the Joker.

"Demented," murmured Zsasz.

Inside another cell was a man sitting quietly, as if waiting for something. Despite hearing the Joker's laughter, he remained unmoved.

"I can hear them, they're afraid... everyone's afraid..." said the man in a raspy voice as he looked in the direction of Block A. "But what are they afraid of?... It doesn't matter, it's time to leave."

...

...

Heading to the origin of the alarm at Arkham, we have five suspiciously masked men. They arrived in a van at one of the outer walls of Arkham.

Four of them carried long weapons, but one had a bag full of stuffed animals.

One of them took a stuffed animal and approached the thick concrete wall of Arkham.

Despite being a sanatorium in many universes, here Arkham was more like a prison with everything a prison should have. However, not even the thick walls, the electric fencing, and the hundreds of armed guards could prevent the constant escapes from Arkham.

"How does it activate?"

"Just pull the cord on the back of the toy!"

There were signs of skepticism, they were here to rescue their boss, but a suspicious, if not ridiculous, method was being used. However, the man holding the stuffed animal had nothing to lose, so he turned the bear around and pulled the cord on its back.

When he let go, he began to hear the classic *Tick tock* of a bomb. The man felt chills and threw it against the wall before moving away. Unexpectedly, the plush bear adhered to the wall while the sound of the countdown was the only thing heard.

The bomb exploded and blew up the wall of Arkham into pieces, and the group of masked men quickly entered through the destroyed walls.

"Let's go, the boss is waiting!"

"That explosive is incredible despite looking like a stuffed animal," said another man, sweating a little on his back now that he knows what these stuffed animals are capable of. "Besides, Arkham's walls are reinforced, which makes it even more incredible."

"I hope so, the toymaker charged a lot for this job."

If Allen heard that, he would be upset. It's his first day, and there's already an attempted escape perpetrated with Toyman's help.

Toyman is an iconic DC villain whose real name is Winslow Schott. The twisted mentality of the bastard Toyman revolves around his obsession with toys and gadgets. One thing to recognize is his ingenuity in creating deadly devices, from killer robots to mind control devices, making him a formidable adversary for Superman and the Justice League.

The men advanced but were intercepted by guards, and immediately, a shootout began, bullets flying for half a minute as the men felt pressured.

"Hey, use the toys to break the walls!" one of them shouted.

The one carrying the stuffed animals approached a wall and threw a plush toy at it, after a few seconds, another explosion filled the place.

At this point, it was all chaos, explosions scattering alarms.

...

One of the men was injured, and his companions abandoned him. Arkham was not an amusement park; labyrinthine corridors and many walls, bars, and metal doors separated the inmates from freedom. However, with a good number of Toyman's toys, they managed to reach the level three prisoner confinement area.

"Just one more door and the boss will be there!"

To be honest, none of them thought they would make it, but they had no other choice. Their boss would get out sooner or later, and if they didn't make the minimum effort to free him, they would have a miserable future.

The door exploded, and they managed to reach the hallway of the most deranged and dangerous villains and criminals, people like Bane, Joker, and the Penguin, are regular clients of this place.

"Stop right there!"

Before they could celebrate, they were greeted by a dozen armed guards pointing their guns at them.

"Didn't think it would be easy, did you?!" the officer in charge was very angry, the damage to Arkham was enormous, many sectors were compromised, and others would be inoperative for several months.

Although escapes from Arkham are quite regular, causing so much damage when doing so is very rare.

"What do we do?!" one of the criminals asked nervously.

"Activate your filters!"

One of the men took out a sphere that looked like a Halloween pumpkin and threw it at the armed guards, after that, it exploded, releasing a lot of green gas.

"Everyone, retreat!"

The officer in charge tried to get his men away from that gas, but it was too late.

"Ahhh!" One of the guards fell to the ground and began to twist while trying to remove something from his clothes.

"Don't come near me!! You're dead!! I SAW YOU DIE!!" many of those guards seemed to be experiencing hallucinations.

But one took it further and aimed his rifle in all directions. "Boss where are you?! Nick?! Rivera?! Evan?!"

"I'm here by your side!" shouted the chief guard as he approached the guard to shake him by the shoulder, but when he put his hand on the guard's shoulder, he fired reflexively in all directions and injured several guards.

"Ahhh!" the chief guard fell to the ground with a wound in his stomach. "What's happening?!"

He couldn't understand it, all his men had gone crazy.

"Everyone is afraid..."

The haunting and terrifying voice sounded from a cell. The door was open as the chief guard lamented; he had let villains escape from the special confinement area...

A terrifying hand slowly emerged from the cell. The guard was losing blood but was aware of what was happening. His eyes fixed on the open cell door as a terrifying figure, three meters tall, crawled out slowly.

"Fear is one of the most primal emotions of human beings, but it's not a bad thing, it warns us of danger and makes us more cautious."

"Bastard... spare me your speeches, Scarecrow," said the guard with annoyance, but quickly regretted it.

A huge creature emerged from the cell, like a scarecrow but thin, with green eyes exuding fire, a terrifying creature straight out of a nightmare in the form of a scarecrow.

The guard felt his blood run cold, he knew who Scarecrow was and his famous fear gas, but he never expected it to be like this. The chief guard knew that the creature in front of him was an illusion, but he couldn't stop trembling.

"Fear is something wonderful, and denying it is an abomination. Just accept it..."

...

Allen emerged from his office and found Harleen in a daze. She was scared; she had only been at Arkham for a month, and it was the first time she had experienced an escape. Harleen's fear came from the class of villains locked up in this prison, no matter who was released, there would be victims.

Harleen felt an impulse to go to the area where the Joker was locked up.

'Do you really think you should worry about him?!' The voice in her head mocked. 'It's more likely that people should watch out for him Hahaha'

"It's not that!" Harleen interrupted. "I know he'll be fine, but if they release him now, all the progress he made in his rehabilitation will go down the drain!"

"I guess that would be bad, Dr. Quinzel."

"What?!" Harleen turned to see Allen behind her, the girl stepped back until she touched the wall. She remembered everything she had seen a moment ago, and her face turned as red as a tomato.

'Virgin...' the voice in her head said disdainfully.

'Shut up,' Harleen replied to her inner voice.

Allen placed his hand on the wall, cornering Harleen, who held her breath as her heart raced; she was sure she had fallen into the clutches of a sexual beast.

Contrary to Harleen's expectations, Allen simply looked at her with calm eyes, without the slightest hint of a seductive womanizer or an authoritarian boss.

"Director, I..." Harleen tried to make excuses for her previous words; it seemed like she cared about the Joker.

"You don't have to make excuses." Allen had a serious yet relaxed look. "Harleen, can I ask you something?"

"Huh?"

'Tell him yes, he probably wants to undress you for wild sex right here, or maybe he'll take you to that office of perversion and make you wear a maid costume, no matter what, just accept!!'

Harleen was confused and shocked to be called by her name, so she didn't pay attention to the vulgar things her inner voice said.

Harleen bit her lip and looked at Allen with teary eyes. 'Am I going to be devoured like this?!' Harleen lamented.

'You hypocrite, I know what you're feeling, your words are bullshit if you're wet down there!'

'STOP SAYING VULGAR THINGS!'

Harleen was fighting with herself as Allen continued to stare at her. Harleen was embarrassed by her behavior in front of him.

"Do you like the Joker?" asked Allen calmly.

"Huh?" she opened her eyes.

"Do you love him?"

Harleen's gaze remained blank as she tried to process Allen's words. Did she love the Joker? No, that would be Harleen's immediate response, but deep down, she couldn't deny that she cared about what happened to him more than with other patients.

Harleen is aware that lately, she only focuses on the Joker, and she knows her attitude has changed quite a bit. She knows that for the past couple of weeks, the voice in her head has stopped being annoying.

Harleen knows that something inside her is changing.... but what terrifies Harleen the most is that she doesn't dislike it.

Will there come a time when she stops being Harleen? Is she okay with that?

Harleen hugged herself and began to tremble. At that moment, Allen reached out and stroked Harleen's head.

"Why?" Harleen weakly asked; her voice was faint, and her eyes wandered.

"In this place, it's easy to fall into despair and madness. I won't interfere with your decisions, Harleen, just do me a favor," Allen smiled. His smile was kind, far from the bad guy smirk he usually wears. "When you go to see the Joker again, look him in the eyes and see if you're reflected there, see if he truly cares about you."

"As long as I'm here, I won't let that bastard hurt you..." Allen chuckled. "So don't worry and fall in love with him, hehe."

...

Harleen was stunned as she watched Allen walk away down the hallway; the fear had disappeared, the anxiety too, her hands no longer trembled, and her heart was calm.

Harleen remembered Ivy's reaction earlier, and then she thought about Allen's words and his gaze. Then a pang of unfamiliar pain pierced her heart.

She didn't know why, but a strange impulse from her soul arose, she ran towards where Allen had gone and saw him in the distance.

"No!"

"Hm?" Allen stopped and turned with curiosity. "Is something wrong, Dr. Quinzel?" Allen said in a cordial tone.

Harleen bit her lips. "I said I don't love him!" Harleen blushed completely as she burst into embarrassment, she lowered her head realizing her actions.

There was no reason for her to run here just to say that.

'HAHAHAHA that was adorable~ I almost liked you for a moment~

'Ugh!!'

Allen didn't remain silent for a moment, looking at Harleen. 'Everyone loves crazy Harley Quinn, I'm no exception, but...'

"I'm glad," said Allen, leaving Harleen and her inner voice stunned. She raised her head to see Allen looking at her with a half-smile. "I'm glad you don't love him, it would be a waste to give yourself to that sick bastard." Allen brought his face close and gave her a small kiss on the cheek.

"...!" Harleen's mind stopped working, and she fell unconscious. Allen appeared to hold Harleen before she fell to the ground.

Allen decided to carry Harleen in his arms, but at that moment, Harleen's eyes opened.

"I can finally get out!"

"Harleen?"

"Hey, handsome!~" her voice was cheerful and flirtatious as she wrapped her arms around Allen's neck. "I'm not that shy virgin, what do you think if we go to your office and spend some time together!?❤️"

Harleen's attitude took a 360-degree turn, she appeared as another woman, a very extroverted, flirtatious, and teasing woman.

It was like Rebecca! but without her exaggerated level of aggression towards others from one moment to the next.

"Ha, and by the way, I'm not Harleen," She leaned her face towards Allen's and bit his lip without shame or embarrassment, then she smirked as she licked her lips. "You're really delicious~ hehe, just remember to call me Harley when you come inside me ❤️ hehe~"

"Harleen, I think you should take it easy for now," Allen suggested gently.

"Oh, don't worry about me, handsome," she said coyly, twirling a strand of hair around her finger. "I'm just feeling a little... liberated, that's all. So, about that office of yours..."

Allen had understood but could not assimilate it, at this moment she is not Harleen Quinzel she is Harley Quinn.
