But her heart drummed her chest loudly in alarm. 

She wasn't overthinking things.

Her instincts were telling her Aunt Selma meant her words.

'If I died here, who would tell Edric about these dangerous people?!

What if they kill him too after they killed me?!!'

Loreen felt her blood turn cold at the realization.

She had to do something so she could leave here alive no matter what.
