Capítulo 3: 3. Is he Lost?
"We're inside my room. Now speak, what is it that you wanted?" I asked him walking over to the window waiting for him to say something; "Scorpions aren't the friendliest but I couldn't stand being around my kind anymore. Most of them are rejected animals that have gone feral and their attacks towards others are getting out of control." He said I knew full well that his kind were always looked down on no matter how hard one might try to look good there will always be a bad light painted over them; "ok that's one thing but that doesn't explain how you found yourself here on earth." I said turning around to face him; he wasn't sure on what to say next; "I'm sorry but I followed you. I thought that maybe if I came here I'd be able to have a fresh start." He said and I can understand of wanting a fresh start; "I can tell you mean well so I will let you stay here on earth but you must keep everything about what you are a secret. If people see you in your beast form they'll see you as a monster that should be killed, living here you may want to have a place that maybe close to a desert area so that way you can turn into your beast form whenever you choose." I said "What your name?" I asked and he smiled at me "Sam Price." He said getting down on his knees and my eyes opened wide "get up, there's no need for you to do that." I said but he didn't move "There is a need for me to do this. It's thanks to you that I'm able to start a new in a fresh place where no one knows me; otherwise I'd be forced to fight to the death for the entertainment of others. If I were to die I would given to others to feast upon." Sam said and to my knowledge scorpions have it worst off then the snakes do so if they need to eat they won't care if it's one of their own.
"You can stand up, I'll be here for a while. So you can stay with me for the time being until I go to one of the house I own and I have people to up keep the property, the only thing that I ask of you is to clean up after yourselves. It would seem like you need some clothes as well." I said walking over to him lifting his head to meet my eyes "thank you. I'll do whatever you ask of me to repay you, thank you for giving me this chance." Sam said not looking away from my eyes; "Not now but when the time comes I'll ask you to pay back the favour do you understand what I'm asking of you?" I asked him "Yes I do. Whatever and whenever you ask me I'll drop what I'm doing to help you." Sam said. "Good, take the couch; we'll head out tomorrow for some new clothes for you and to take you to the house by the desert." I said "I'm going to grab a shower. Have a good night Sam." Walking away from him to make my way to the bathroom and starting to take off my clothes and turning on the water; pulling my hair out of the ponytail that I had in letting it fall to my hips.
I know that I was in need of a trim, hopping in and enjoying the water run over my body as I cleaned up and washed my hair. After another minute or two I finished up drying off with another snap of my fingers i changed into some pjs wrapping the towel around my hair and walking back to the room to see Sam asleep on the couch. For him to do this on his own must of been hard for him but hopefully he can turn over a new leaf. I climb into the bed turning off the lights with magic going to sleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.
Waking up hours later feeling refreshed and I heard the sound of the water running it must of been Sam. I got out of the bed and stretched "Sam! Do you want breakfast?" I called out to him and for a minute he didn't answer me until another minute "yes please." He called back and feeling fully recharged I snap my fingers to put a table in the room filling it completely with food, fruits, drinks and anything else that comes to my mind and soon after Sam comes out with only a towel wrapped around his hips and wet hair; I've seen a few well kept men and Sam is one of them he cleared his throat "I hope it's alright that I used the shower and thank again for not turning me away last night." Sam said "It's alright for now sit down and eat." I said snapping my fingers for chairs "As for clothes are you attached to the ones you were wearing?" I asked and he shook his head no and with more snapping I burned his old clothes and gave him new clothes; it was a simple dress shirt, dress pants, and a new pair of shoes. "This should do for now until we get more casual clothes for you. If there's something you want just let me know, I don't know much about a scorpions appetite." I said sitting across from him and he took a stack of pancakes, bacon, eggs, and a bowl of fruit. "This is more than enough. This is more than I can ever ask for." Sam said with a smile and that was good enough for me and I got some fruits, waffles, eggs, and orange juice. We ate in silence and had our fill of food, I knew a little bit of the city so I wanted to make some plates for the homeless.
