Even Morster, as a combat wizard who had experienced numerous battles big and small, couldn't help but feel as if he had fallen into an ice cave at this moment.
"Eh, we're going to die..."
Morster and the surviving companions silently held their ground, hoping for a possible turn of events.
The ones most likely to come to their aid were the other wizards trapped in the subway.
Turning around, Morster saw that the subway entrance was once again filled with laser beams, and it seemed unlikely that any wizards could rush out in the short term.
Glancing around the battlefield, including himself, there were only two or three teams struggling to break out.
The sense of despair grew heavier in his heart, filling Morster with sorrow.
"It's over, there's a metal barrier under the ground, we can't drill our way out of here."
A companion sobbed next to him.
"Pfft…" A laser beam pierced through one companion's body, igniting it.
