“Grammy, do you really see me like that?” I asked sulkily as I looked at the woman who had raised me like her own in the past thirty-one years.

She was mature, her hair part grey and part black. I could tell that she was getting on with age after all. She was sixty-nine years old and a grandmother.

My grandmother was one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. There was her and then my never ageing mother, the woman who knew how to create chaos wherever she went.

“Hehe, you can fool others, but not me! Tell me, just what exactly are you and your mother planning again?” Grandmother asked with narrowed eyes as her glare penetrated my soul.

I shrugged as I sat on the sofa across from her.

“Grammy, why don’t you trust your grandson?” I pitifully asked as I sulked while looking at the woman who knew me best.
