First round:
Ming Ge vs. Chu Mufeng.
The latter was defeated miserably.
Watching Ming Ge converse gleefully with Chu Mufeng, Jia Manyun's eyes turned heavy, and a faint, chilling coldness flowed quietly from the depths of her pupils.
It wasn't very obvious, yet it subtly existed.
Chu Mufeng was the guest she had invited, and in theory, should have been the closest to her as a friend. However, Chu Mufeng displayed a sense of closeness to Ming Ge, whom she somewhat disliked and even saw as an adversary.
Jia Manyun felt a slight constriction in her chest.
It was as if a wad of cotton soaked in ice-cold water had been stuffed inside her ribcage, heavily weighing down and making her breathing uneven.
Indeed...
Does having a good-looking face really make that much of a difference?

The three guests who had already arrived at the Rose Cottage, Summer, Jiang Xing'er, and Chu Mufeng, were all familiar faces in the entertainment industry.
