Kayla's POV
Soon after getting the doctor's permission, I was finally able to visit Harrison in his hospital room.
"Harrison..."
As I walked to the door of the room, even though all I could see was a blurry figure, the thought of Harrison lying so quietly on the hospital bed made tears almost uncontrollably stream down my face.
"You've been standing at the door for so long. Were you waiting for me to come and greet you?"
Harrison's light tone immediately eased the atmosphere. However, it couldn't stop my tears and sorrow. For this reason, he didn't hesitate to make a joke with me.
"I'm sorry, my dear. I can't get out of bed right now, so I'll have to let you take the initiative to jump into my arms."
"Oh, Harrison!"
I shrugged off the hand of the nurse who was helping me and ran in the direction of his voice without any regard.
At this moment, even if there was an abyss between Harrison and me, I would leap forward without hesitation for this man.
"Don't cry for me, Kayla."
