Capítulo 213: Chapter 212 End of war!

The war was over.

When the Inca army emerged from the staircase of the giant pit, they climbed onto the airships in front of Lin's airforce.

Indeed, it was over. This war that was started because of a threat.

The 'historical statues' were the most precious things to the Inca army. They had spent countless years to turn history into statues, recording it bit by bit inside the giant pit in the desert.

To the Inca army, these historical records were more precious than anything else, they could be considered a 'treasure'.

And now, they were giving these precious statues to Lin, hoping that they wouldn't be wiped out by her.

That was why … Lin also believed that it was over. Lin could sense the Inca army's mood.

Lin didn't like to casually wipe out a species, so … there was no longer a need to fight.

The Inca army said that they would leave and wouldn't attack Lin or anything related to her. Lin also said that she wouldn't attack them.

This seemed to be called a 'promise'.

Lin didn't need to worry about the Inca army having other thoughts. Aside from being able to sense their emotions, Lin also knew that all creatures that had evolved since ancient times were like this. Once they made a promise, they wouldn't do anything that could be called 'going back on their word'. Actually, the word 'going back on their word' didn't exist in the brainworms' vocabulary. It was a word that Lin had in her vocabulary, but Lin had never used it.

This was an eternal promise between two species. The Inca army used their treasures to exchange for the survival of their species.

To Lin, this was quite interesting. Lin had witnessed the life of a powerful branch-type creature. Their history. Their fighting style. There was also their life-saving method.

This wasn't something that could be seen on a whim.

Perhaps the Chibucha back then would have done everything they could to survive if they had the chance? However, Lin felt that they were far inferior to the Inca army, so they probably didn't have that many methods.

There were a large number of small airships floating above the crater. They were all connected by a few strings. The Inca army pulled the strings and pulled the airships down one by one. They then boarded the airships.

The Inca army was hiding in a hidden room next to the entrance of the giant pit statue cave. Actually, Lin had a very high chance of discovering them at the time. It was only because they were ambushed by the creatures in the water that they discovered the entrance of the cave first.

This seemed to be a type of 'gamble'. If Lin discovered the Inca army first, she would destroy them first, and even if she saw the statue, she might not accept the Inca army's conditions …

Indeed, the Inca insects didn't know that Lin liked to study living creatures. They were only displaying their most precious object to see if Lin would accept it or not. Their only path was destruction …

Even so, the Inca swarm did not hesitate to sacrifice three large Stone Chime Airships. He lured Lin into the huge pit.

Another thing was the communication method. Lin didn't know when the Inca Zerg started learning the Maya language, but judging from the Shadow Zerg's appearance, it seemed like it had just learned it when they encountered it. Therefore, time was quite tight. If it learned it a little later, it would be over.

'Gambling' was a very dangerous thing, but if it was successful, the rewards would be very high.

The Inca insectoid army had all boarded the airships. One of the airships flew in front of Bechymos. The shadowy creature stood on top of the airship and spoke to Bechymos.

"We, leave, but, we need time."

The Inca swarm needed time to leave, which seemed to be related to the arrival of the moon.

In fact, it didn't matter whether they left or not. If there was no conflict over resources, creatures that lived in peace would rarely have conflicts over resources.

Creatures that didn't live in peace were much rarer. For example, the Aztec Zerg would constantly devour all living creatures. However, they would also determine their population's reproduction rate according to the amount of food in the entire area. They would also not allow their population to grow so large that they would devour everything.

After devouring an area, they would not return to that area for a long time, allowing the area to recover.

However, the Aztec Zerg's lifestyle made it easy for them to provoke other species. Therefore, it was quite troublesome for them to be chased out of the forest by the Maya.

There was no problem with the Inca swarm's lifestyle. If it weren't for various reasons, Lin wouldn't have started a war with them. In short, it had nothing to do with resources.

Then, the shadowy creature spoke, "Before we leave, we will wait here."

Before the Inca swarm left, they would stay in this huge desert pit and not go anywhere else. Lin was interested to see where they would go and how they would live after that.

But since there was nothing to worry about, it was time to return.

Bechymos disconnected the hook on the ground and slowly flew into the air towards the direction of the Twisted Jungle. Lin's air force followed Bechymos and flew back together. Lin had left behind a few flyers to observe the activities of the Inca insect swarm. But now, there was no longer a need for them to hide as much as before.

The Inca swarm looked towards the direction Lin left and let out a resounding howl.

Lin didn't know what it meant, but their current mood was: 'Relax, happy.'

That's right, the war had ended … … it had ended peacefully.

… … Using 'treasures' to obtain 'survival'? This was also the path of evolution.

But some creatures didn't think so.

In Maya, the brainworm held a considerable amount of anger towards the Inca swarm. The Inca swarm's improper control over the Earth Splitter and the inaccurate pronunciation of the shadowy creature's language had caused the brainworm to rapidly secrete 'anger'. Lin was certain that if the brainworm had enough troops, it would have directly gone to wipe out the Inca swarm.

However, the brainworm currently only had a small army of 'foot soldiers' for hunting and 'maize' for planting. Lin didn't know how long it would take for them to recover, but with their current military strength, they definitely wouldn't be able to defeat the Inca swarm. Even if the Inca swarm was almost destroyed, they still had a Purgatory Worm.

But recently, a third type of troop had appeared in the brainworm, 'Rollers'.

Rollers were a type of troop that was used to move heavy objects. They were usually placed under heavy objects to move them by rolling. Lin felt that this method wasn't very effective, because they needed a flat surface to roll well. Where would there be a flat surface in the Twisted Forest? Although it was possible to create a flat surface, Lin felt that it would take up too much space.

Currently, the brainworm didn't really use this type of troop. It mainly wanted to use the Chime Airship to fly, but it didn't have any flying type of troop.

Lin felt that the brainworm might want to use the airship to crash into the Inca swarm. Maya seemed to have this intention. She felt that it was really interesting. Why would it care about the inaccurate pronunciation?

This was a question that Lin planned to investigate in the future.

Lin's airship slowly flew back to the Twisted Forest. Now that the war with the Inca swarm was over, everything became incomparably peaceful and there was a sense of 'relaxation'.

But Lin still had a lot of things to do. Under the influence of 'Moon', the Twisted Forest had changed beyond recognition.

A vast forest appeared in front of Bechymos. Currently, in the sky above the forest, there were huge amounts of rocks and soil. They were of different sizes. Some were just grains of sand, while others were more than ten meters wide or even a hundred meters wide. There were even a few huge chunks of soil that had a few twisted trees attached to them.

The moment 'Moon' descended, everything changed.

Due to the reaction of the Chime Stones, the earth began to tremble as if there was an earthquake. Huge cracks spread and spread wildly in the forest, just like an underground world that was collapsing.

Meanwhile, the cracked soil and rocks here rose into the air. A large amount of soil floated in the air. Lin discovered that these floating objects didn't always stay in the same position. They would slowly float and move, colliding to produce more fragments, or through collisions, they would combine together to form even bigger floating stones.

In fact, some of the floating objects were large enough to be called 'islands'. When they rose, they peeled off an entire area of the forest. This might be because the Chime Stones were too rich in composition.

They were usually tens of meters or even a hundred meters in size. Moreover, they didn't break into pieces during the process of rising. This should be a very rare sight, but in fact, such situations were everywhere.

Perhaps it had something to do with the Twisted Trees. Their complex roots connected the rocks and mud together.

Lin called these huge floating objects' Chime Islands', although this name seemed rather monotonous …

When these islands rose, they brought with them a lot of plants, twisted trees, ferns, moss and so on. They looked as strange and beautiful as a forest flying in the air.

Chime Islands were usually two hundred to three hundred meters in the air. It was relatively cold here, but there was usually a lot of moisture, which was suitable for the growth of plants. A new environment was born.

Some creatures were also brought into the air. Most of them were at a loss, but many flying creatures took this opportunity to hunt down the creatures trapped on the floating islands.

Lin also discovered that the seeds of the Hometrees had also begun to fly into the air in large numbers. After they exploded, the seeds would usually enter the soil in the air and germinate at an extremely fast rate.

Some Hometrees had already sprouted. There were many of them, but judging from the number of Hometrees on the ground, Lin believed that less than 1% of them could successfully grow to such a large size.

In order to study their situation, Lin began to build a base on one of the huge islands.

Even after the war ended, there were still many things to do. Floating Astronomy.
