By the time Joseph Thompson drove back to Star Ocean City, it was already past 5 a.m.

The sky was just beginning to lighten, and the whitish belly of the fish in the east reminded him that a new day was about to begin.

Having stayed awake all night, his eyelids were heavy, but when he got home and took a shower, he inexplicably couldn't find his boxer shorts anywhere.

He irritably pulled at the drawer under his wardrobe, but in doing so too forcefully, the entire drawer was yanked open, scattering his underwear all over the floor.

He raised his hand and softened his brow, looking at the scattered underwear on the floor. When he found a light pink little cutie amongst them, his heart inexplicably tightened. Then, he carefully picked it up and put it in his drawer with his other men's shorts.
