Lumma didn't drink much and was still sober. She planned to take a shower first and go to bed early at night. Only after she had a good rest could she have the energy to deal with the meeting tomorrow.

When she took off her clothes, she found that the bracelet that old Mr. White gave to Adam's wife was still on her wrist.

Lumma immediately took off the bracelet, cleaned it, and put it back into the box. Then she went upstairs to find Adam with the box.

She knocked on the door and said, "Mr. Hills, I'm here to give you the gift from old Mr. White for your wife. Could you come out and take it?"

No one answered.

Lumma guessed that Adam must be drunk. He drank a lot during the meal. On the way back, he leaned against the back seat of the car and closed his eyes for rest, without saying a word.

Lumma hurried downstairs to fetch a glass of water and then brought it upstairs.
