Capítulo 6: Chapter6

"So this is where Kilua spent 2 years of his childhood in the manga?" Hiro thought, slightly surprised by the atmosphere.

Hiro could see several rings, each with its own fighting duo.

"Damn, I lost again!" swore a middle-aged man.

"I told you to bet on the other one, if only I had money left" said another man reeking of alcohol next to him.

"Shut up! Who's fault is it that we're broke huh?" the middle-aged man snapped back, grabbing his clothes.

Hiro and Kilua were astonished by this scene unfolding beside them.

"Not only are there brutes fighting in the ring, but also amongst the spectators, this is the holy land of barbarians it seems" said Kilua with a slight smile.

"Young master, I don't think we should stay beside these kinds of individuals" Amane said with a frown, looking at the brawling duo.

"I agree with Amane. Staying here wouldn't be practical to properly follow the matches, and we need to be able to hear the referee calling us into the ring" explained Canary.

Hiro also nodded in agreement with them since staying here wouldn't bring anything good, only headaches from the angry gamblers and occasional fights between them.

"Numbers 213 and 243, please enter the ring" announced a referee in a ring that had just been vacated.

"Kilua, you're up first it seems, but don't forget, you can't kill" Hiro reminded seriously at the end.

Although Hiro had already spilled human blood, he preferred to adopt a mentality similar to Zeno Zoldyck's but slightly modified: to only kill under contract or for his own interests, but never kill for pleasure or without reason.

This could be seen as hypocritical, but after committing his first murder, Hiro had promised himself to never kill without motive or for an insignificant motive.

"Don't worry, I won't kill him" said Kilua nonchalantly walking away with his hands behind his head.

"You shouldn't worry about me but about that cardboard elephant over there" Kilua smiled clearly provocatively.

"I was thinking of sending you home after spanking you, but you had to rub me the wrong way. Get ready kid, you'll regret this day for the rest of your life" the burly man facing Kilua in the ring shot back.

After this brief discussion, the referee explained a few details like the 3 minute time limit since the first floor was more an evaluation of the participants' levels for the Heaven's Arena.

"I'll count to three, then you can start"

The moment the referee finished counting, Kilua was already behind his opponent knocking him out.

"Bam!" That was the only sound that silenced all the other sounds on the first floor.

"Did you see that? Or is the booze playing tricks on me?" asked the same drunk man bickering with his friend.

"Yes, you saw right" said the middle-aged man sweating.

Their reaction was the most common on the first floor at that moment.

"That was easy, uh...Mr. Referee, I won right?" Kilua asked, pointing to his knocked out opponent.

"Yes...um...indeed" said the referee, a little overwhelmed by what he just witnessed.

After his victory, Kilua came back to Hiro with a wide grin on his face.

"See, you worried for nothing" Kilua said to Hiro.

"Yes, you didn't kill him" Hiro replied, giving him a thumbs up.

"Number 243 and number 216 into the ring" called another referee.

"Looks like it's my turn, you should wish me good luck" said Hiro without turning around.

"As if he needed it" Kilua murmured but Canary easily heard it and instinctively replied:

"Yes, young master Hiro doesn't need that to defeat this kind of opponent" she said with a certain glint in her eyes.

"Don't think you'll be as lucky as your friend, whether he got lucky or cheated with some sleight of hand, I don't care but know that I'm no ordinary man" said the burly man in a karate uniform.

Faced with these words, Hiro simply nodded expressionlessly.

The moment the referee gave the signal, Hiro had already mumbled the name of the demon of the future and just slowly walked towards his opponent.

"You're really looking to get yourself killed kid! Take this, you'll tell me all about it afterwards" The man didn't just talk without taking action.

Because the instant he finished talking, he had already started bombarding Hiro with a flurry of blows.

"I don't know how his friend knocked out his opponent without me seeing him do anything, but no matter" thought number 216, quickly analyzing the situation.

"As long as I attack fast enough, he won't be able to use the same trick as his friend."

Number 216 was no ordinary man with just above average strength and martial skills like Kilua's opponent, far from it.

He was the best martial artist in his hometown. He was so good at his art that he created his own style after learning everything from his master. And the reason he came to Heaven's Arena was simple.

"No matter if my opponent is a child, I'll do anything to achieve my dream: I'll create the Tsubame style school."

But reality is cruel. Despite his attacks, number 216 couldn't touch Hiro.

"How's he doing that?" This question kept repeating in number 216's mind.

Despite his efforts, number 216 could do nothing to win. He had even used all the katas of his style but nothing worked. After 2 minutes, despair was the only thing left in his previously determined mind.

"I give up" Ultimately, number 216 could only give up in front of the being standing before him now.

The moment number 216 looked at Hiro, he had three major questions tormenting his mind:

First, who is he?

Second, how could such a monster exist in this world?

And especially, third, how the hell did he end up kneeling before him?

While his thoughts were chaotic, number 216 didn't notice Hiro tapping him on the shoulder.

"Wise decision" said Hiro calmly in a low voice.

The instant Hiro walked behind number 216 towards the stands, he collapsed unconscious from all the stress accumulated due to the terror Hiro inspired in him.

It wasn't just number 216 who understood how much of a monster Hiro is.

Even the spectators on the first floor had stopped paying attention to the other fights because of the scene between Hiro and number 216.

Luckily, this strange atmosphere was broken by a referee announcing the start of another fight.

"What was that?" asked Kilua with a smile on his lips, but Hiro could see a strange glint in his eyes.

"Oh that? Nothing important" said Hiro, knowing full well no one would believe him.

"I know the ability of the demon of the future is impossible to hide forever, especially since I used it instinctively in front of Mother not long ago" thought Hiro calmly.

"But this mistake could become an advantage" Hiro smiled slightly, thinking of a certain girl who could also see the future in this world.

Hiro's plan was simple: he wanted to pass off his ability to see the future as a Nen ability similar to Neon Nostrade's.

"I wonder if Neon has awakened her power yet. If not, I should consider taking her while her father is still down in the mafia" pondered Hiro.

While Hiro was devising his plan, he didn't notice Amane and Canary had already finished their fights and were coming back towards them.

"Great job, that was fast and efficient" Kilua sincerely praised their performance.

"It was truly incredible, well done, but keep in mind these are weaklings on this floor so never let your guard down" said Hiro.

After this discussion, Hiro and Kilua decided to advance as many floors as possible today too.

==========================

After spending the entire day at Heaven's Arena, Hiro, Kilua, Amane and Canary finally left.

But unfortunately for Hiro, someone was waiting for them outside.

"I saw your fights, congratulations on the proper use of your combat abilities" said Zeno calmly behind them.

He had succeeded in fooling their senses and positioning himself right behind them without being noticed.

"Thank you, grandfather" Hiro and Kilua immediately said.

"I didn't only come to congratulate your performances. I want to inform you of crucial information for your training."
