Capítulo 41: Chapter forty one

Maria has been ignoring me for the better part of the day and just when I thought I should talk things straight she ignored me again. 

Just great. What was I thinking, knocking at her door? I surely can do better than that. What did I expect anyway? That she would finally listen to what I have to say?

Clearly that's not going to happen any time soon. 

But what does she think she'll gain by giving Cole her attention and ignoring me? 

Logically, it feels bad, anyone else would feel just the same way since she's doing it intentionally. 

Or maybe I'm trying to convince myself that I'm not jealous about their closeness. 

At least I can admit that's how I've been for the past week. With Cole always being overprotective of her. 

Doesn't matter anyway. 

Thinking about what I did, if she really wanted to tell my father what happened, she would have done it as soon as she escaped that hospital. But she didn't.
