Shikera's eyes widened as her brain processed what she heard. Esther was not Ethan's daughter, and Mignon was not his wife?!

"Then who is Mignon?!" She questioned. Had this family been joking with her from the beginning?

Ethan was relieved that she caught his bait, and that confirmed his theory from the previous night that Shikera had misunderstood his relationship with Mignon.

"Mignon is my sister while Esther is her daughter; I adopted her after her mother disappeared," he replied, narrowing his eyes at her reaction to his words.

She simply rounded her mouth in an 'oh' motion, and nodded her head twice. Shikera was actually more shocked than she looked but she tried to mask it, remembering that this was the same person that made Ethan hate reporters.

"Aaah, you had a sister?" She queried, wondering why she had never heard anything like that, even from her father.
