Capítulo 24: Hogwarts a History
I chanced upon the first book mentioned by a character.
Hermione's Hogwarts a History and read it as a break in my History classes.
I found some details that let me brood.
What do we know about Hogwarts?
It is a school for wizards and witches since the founders era.
We know of three secret places the founders hid. The Secret Chamber, Kitchen and RoR.
But what we should ask is:
How was Hogwarts and its secrets built?
Why aren't there four secret places like there are four founders?
Was Griffindor not clever enough? Or was it not discovered?
Another thing is its motto, which Rowling translated through a friend.
Never tickle a sleeping dragon.
Everyone thought it was a joke for the golden trio as they had Fluffy and later Gringotts dragon woken up.
But what if it's more than we see?
It could be related to the Basilisk, but Slytherin isn't so dumb and high-profile.
It could be a real dragon, but I think Griffindor send a message to the secret entrance.
How I would know that? I activated the kneazles sixth sense and this possibility appeared in my head.
I could be wrong, but I don't believe it.
So wie that I searched in my free time for dragons in paintings or statues through Hogwarts.
Haven't found anything yet.
As we advanced in the schoolyear our studygroup got bigger.
Friends found members had better grades than before and wanted to join before the exams.
It were mostly friends of sis, Charlie and Bill as well as some first-years.
An addition I didn't expect was Penelope Clearwater, a second-year Rawenclaw, who would become Percys girlfriend in the future.
We still didn't met our supervisor, so I found McGonnagal to let her know, if we got more members next year, we either need to magicly expand the current room or combine it with another room next door.
She was surprised we already work at capacity, but said she would send my message forward.
I have an idea of who it could be, but hope I am wrong.
That brought me to another thing I underestimated till now. Occlumency.
I don't think it will be easy, but will be necessary if I don't want my secrets known or becoming a puppet.
Some magical beasts like the Wampuscat also use Legilimency, so it shouldn't be wasted effort at least.
But I can't practice it at the moment, because all relevant info is in the forbidden area of the library,
which I couldn't reach with my current lack of stealth abilities.
It's such a vicious circle.
I need the info in the forbidden section to gain Occlumency and a map of the forest, as me questioning Hagrid is only partially successful.
And I need a stealth ability to go to both places, but that ability is mostly affected by a familiar with good stealth or do you believe if I learned a fifth-year invisibility spell, it could bypass Dumbledore.
Even Harry's coat should be tracked as he wouldn't want to loose the Chosen One.
My only hope is a demiguise as it is the origin of invisibilitiy and can most likely evade his probing.
Now what are the chances of an asian beast to appear in Diagon Alley? Zero. Knockturn Alley? Extremly low as long as nobody orders one. But Hagrid mentioned that Scamander lost a pair back in his days and didn't searched them as he believed they would have a better life there.
But to get them, he needed a map. See my problem?
But the last months weren't for nothing.
Anluan is growing into a healthy giant. He should be near his limit as he now could be Fluffys brother.
Mani and Asteria have now the size of a normal cat and become great scouts. They liked it if I hid something in their area in the RoR.
I was now able to have their sixth sense with 'Shared Sense'. Took me some time as it was something my body wasn't used to. It's like a lifelong blind person must imagine how it is to see. Hard, right?
I also wrote my first studyguide which I presented, my sister on her birthday back in April.
Even though it was only my opinion on the basics, she loved how much time I invested for her sake.
My own spellcasting is on par with an average third-year thanks to the training in the RoR and studygroup.
And with that we are near the end of year exams.
