With a new day beginning, I had to lay out a plan, which was to become a Pokémon trainer. To do this, I would need to get money. One way is to find a job request online for the poke board, which requires me to have a phone, or the other option, which is more dangerous, is to go into the Viridian Forest and find honey or Pokémon materials to sell.
For the second plan, I need a way to train Weedle so that its potential can be used properly.
To increase a Pokémon's strength, one is to increase its physical fitness; the second is its moves and how you're able to use it.
Pokémon stats are divided into six factors: HP, Physical Attack, Physical Def, Sp.Atk, Sp.Def, and Speed.
Each Pokémon has different base stats, with Weedle having a base stat of 195, which is pretty weak for a Pokémon, but its potential being emerald means it can reach a higher level than a normal Weedle.
For the moves of a Pokémon, they can be divided into D, C, B, A, S, and EX.
Both movement mastery and strength can be increased with normal training.
Moves can increase in level if you keep using them very often, and their rank will go up. Then, to increase the stats of Pokémon, you would have to do physical training, which would need to be done regularly to barely increase one's stat.
Every Pokémon is different. For training and increasing their move ranks, one Pokémon with better potential will be able to reach a higher level and master moves faster, while another Pokémon with lower potential will only be stuck on level and have a harder time mastering moves to rank up.
There is also a way to increase a Pokémon's potential, and that is to use resources on it, but it is not easy to obtain resources that cost 100k or more poke dollars.
While Troy was lost in thought about what to do, he heard footsteps come into the room.
He returned Weedle back to the poke ball and looked up to see who it was—the caretaker of the orphanage.
Troy, it appears your time in the orphanage has come to an end; we just can't take care of you anymore. You're old enough to be a trainer, so I'm afraid you have to leave today."
I expected to be told that Troy had already come up with a plan, which was to go deep into the Viridian Forest and find some poke-honey, which can be sold for a lot. It was dangerous, but what other option did Troy have?
After saying his goodbyes to the caretakers, Troy packed his bag and headed to the outskirts of the Viridian Forest.
