Capítulo 77: Chapter 77: This old man thinks Shichibukai shouldn't exist!

Everyone fell into a stunned silence upon hearing Kahn's words.

They had never encountered such a shameless person before.

The conference room remained silent for a while.

Even Sengoku couldn't find words to describe his former comrade.

"Lieutenant General Kahn seems to harbor strong disapproval of the Shichibukai system. Otherwise, why would he have arrested the individual who came to recommend a Shichibukai just now?" Doflamingo's voice broke the silence.

Kahn turned his gaze towards him.

"You're mistaken. First of all, it's only natural for me to apprehend pirates. This individual was just a lowly pirate who sneaked into Navy Headquarters and made foolish recommendations. Isn't this provoking our navy? Who does he think he is? If he truly wants to become a Shichibukai, that Blackbeard should come in person. This pirate was nothing but trash, yet he had the audacity to take himself so seriously," Kahn disdainfully stated.

Doflamingo's expression soured.

Kahn had referred to the pirate as trash, which must have irked him. After all, Shichibukai were also pirates.

Kahn didn't care whether he was pleased or not and continued, "As for what you mentioned about me not wanting the Shichibukai, let me clarify. It's not that I don't want the Shichibukai; rather, I believe a system like the Shichibukai should not exist. A pirate is a pirate! Relying on pirates to intimidate other pirates? It's absurd."

"Kahn, please refrain from making such statements!" Sengoku interjected.

The three admirals wore different expressions, and even Akainu's countenance shifted.

They all held their own opinions on this matter. As lifelong fighters against pirates, it was natural to have reservations about the Shichibukai system.

However, none dared to speak out against Kahn.

"Sengoku , am I wrong?" Kahn asked directly.

"Kahn, we are currently discussing the successor to Crocodile, not the Shichibukai system," Lieutenant General Tsuru intervened.

Tsuru also found Kahn's previous comments troublesome.

Was it appropriate to express such opinions directly in front of the four current Shichibukai?

Kahn raised his hands in response to Tsuru's statement.

"Tsuru , I'm merely sharing my viewpoint. Besides, as I mentioned earlier, I'm just a Vice Admiral."

He couldn't be bothered to argue further.

"It appears that Lieutenant General Kahn does indeed hold reservations about the Shichibukai system. So, Empress of the Shichibukai, what is your take on this?" Hawkeye suddenly inquired.

Before Kahn could respond this time, Hancock interjected, "Hawkeye, what do you mean?"

Following this assertive statement, Hancock's demeanor shifted once more.

"As long as Kahn is content, he can do as he please."

Even Hawkeye found himself slightly taken aback by Hancock's words.

"Women in love can be terrifying!"

"Hawkeye, what did you say?" Hancock expressed her displeasure.

It seemed she no longer regarded him as the world's greatest swordsman but rather as an ordinary individual.

Kahn, too, was a bit dumbfounded.

It appeared that Hancock had forgotten what he had said earlier.

But Kahn no longer cared about these trivialities.

After all, everyone present was only human.

Sengoku's complexion darkened progressively.

"You all, let me have some peace!" Sengoku shout reverberated throughout the conference room.

He then turned to address Kahn.

"Kahn, get out of here and wait in my office. You are not allowed to go anywhere else."

He sensed that Kahn's presence was a source of trouble.

Otherwise, the meeting would be rendered meaningless.

"Ah! Fine, it turns out I'm just a lowly Vice Admiral, so I'm leaving now!"

"Kahn, remember to make amends for the trouble you caused earlier," Sengoku suddenly added.

"What?" Kahn was a bit perplexed.

Was he being asked to make reparations?

Sengoku paid him no further heed.

Kahn didn't bother arguing and left the meeting room promptly.

A meeting like this held little significance to him.

Once outside the conference room, Kahn waited in Sengoku's office.

In fact, Kahn had already formed a conclusion in his mind.

The individual known as Blackbeard would likely become a Shichibukai.

As for whether he would capture Ace, Kahn was unsure.

However, if Ace was indeed captured, Kahn could only conclude that Ace's days were numbered, and a major conflict was inevitable, similar to previous encounters.

Of course, if Whitebeard was willing to pay handsomely, Kahn had no qualms about lending a hand. After all, if others could profit from it, so could he.

For him, the more individuals like Ace, the better.

Only then could he make in substantial earnings.

Kahn didn't have to wait long in Sengoku office before the latter returned.

Kahn was slightly surprised.

"Sengoku , everything resolved so quickly?"

"Not yet, you rascal."

Sengoku continued to wear a troubled expression.

Kahn was speechless, but he didn't say much this time.

From the perspective of the Sengoku , I am really in trouble.

He still knows about this.

Seeing that Kahn did not refute this time, Sengoku also knew that this guy understood.

Immediately, he didn't say anything more.

"Okay, now go see Five Elders with me!"

Kahn refrained from commenting this time.

Sengoku understood the situation well.

They soon set off together.

Their destination: the Holy Land Mary Geoise, home to the Five Elders.

Kahn had been here before, but that was thirty years ago.

The last time he left, he had caused quite a commotion.

It was uncertain whether history would repeat itself.

"Kahn, please refrain from speaking carelessly later. The Five Elders should only require an understanding of the situation, and there should be no issues," Sengoku cautioned.

"Sengoku , why are you so long-winded now? You've said that several times; I understand it all. I'm not an imbecile!"
