Steve Burton opened his eyes and stared at the crystal chandelier on the ceiling for quite a while. Only then did he blink and feel that everything seemed surreal like a dream.

He quietly raised his hand, pinching his thigh underneath the blanket, feeling the bone-piercing pain, and only then did he believe that all of it was real.

Uncontrollably, a smile spread across his lips, and then he slowly sat up straight.
