Upon pushing open the door to the master bedroom, Tristan saw Rosalind clutching a bottle of liquor and singing drunkenly. Her eyes were red and swollen, her hair disheveled, resembling a specter. Raine was crying, pleading for her to pull herself together, but Rosalind just laughed manically.

His entrance startled the mother and daughter.

After a seconds' silence, Raine started crying even harder, "Dad, I beg you to talk to mom. She's on the edge!"
