Capítulo 457: Success

Yuga understood that conventional evolution involved Pokémon briefly releasing their ancient genes with the aid of a Keystone and Mega Evolution Stone. This unique form of evolution allowed them to revert to their ancestral forms.

Since Absol could autonomously undergo Mega Evolution, it indicated that the ancient genes within its body were already activated. However, currently, it seemed that Absol couldn't control the changes brought about by these genes.

Yuga attempted to prompt Absol to undergo Mega Evolution once more, but it proved to be impossible. It could sense that something was different within its body, yet it couldn't control these changes.

If the release of these genes was indeed influenced by the Seed of Unknowns, Yuga speculated that Absol's inability to control them stemmed from the incomplete activation of these genes.

Based on his past memories, Yuga knew that some Legendary Pokémon could autonomously undergo Mega Evolution without requiring Keystone. This might be the direction in which Absol's changes were headed.

At this moment, Yuga couldn't help but marvel at the power of the golden items within the system. It wasn't surprising that their drop rates were so low.

Unable to completely unravel the secrets of the Seed of Unknowns within Absol's body, Yuga shifted his focus to the cultivation of the blue potential Gligar.

This task had taken quite a long time, and Yuga wanted to complete it quickly to enhance YoYo Day Care's sales chain. With the complementary sale of Gligar and Razor Fangs, Yuga believed that YoYo Day Care's business would undoubtedly thrive.

Yuga allocated a portion of the potions made from mutated Jaboca Berries to the Pokéblocks of the three pregnant Gliscor Queens every day. This allowed the cumulative effects of these potions on them and their unborn offspring to grow.

Joyka had assured Yuga that these potions would not have any adverse effects on the Pokémon, so Yuga confidently allowed the Gliscor Queens to consume them.

Additionally, the mutated Jaboca Berry trees that Yuga had newly cultivated had been well cared for by the Grass-type Pokémon and the Lotad in his absence. They had also been regularly fertilized with meteorite-infused nutrients.

Although these saplings hadn't shown any significant changes so far, their growth was robust. Yuga suspected that it wouldn't be long before they displayed mutations.

After several months of nurturing, all three pregnant Gliscor Queens were in excellent condition. During his examinations, Yuga even discovered that their physical qualities had improved significantly compared to before their pregnancies.

On one occasion, Yuga inadvertently caught the Gliscor Leader secretly nibbling on her fellow wives' "pregnancy meals," which left him both amused and exasperated.

However, this indicated that the potions had a considerable allure to the Gligar, affirming the high likelihood of Yuga's breeding plan being a resounding success.

In this manner, two months and five days passed since Yuga began personally caring for the three Gliscor Queens.

Perhaps due to the unique diet, the pregnancy periods of all three Gliscor Queens had been notably prolonged. Were it not for the health reports confirming the well-being of the queens and their unborn offspring, Yuga might have suspected that they were carrying stillborns.

However, after two months of nurturing, Yuga observed that the three pregnant Gliscor Queens had grown increasingly robust, with their strength rising steadily. They were on the verge of surpassing the Gliscor Leader's prowess. If not for the fact that the Gligar society typically had males as leaders, Yuga would have thought the Gliscor Leader was about to be dethroned.

Finally, after two months and five days of care, the three pregnant Gliscor Queens simultaneously laid three healthy Pokémon eggs. What thrilled Yuga even more was that all of them were blue potential. This filled him with boundless joy.

Once these three Pokémon eggs hatched, Yuga's long-pending task would be accomplished.

Because the task required nurturing blue potential Gligar, the mission wasn't considered complete with the mere hatching of Pokémon eggs.

Yuga planned to use all the fruits produced by the mutated Jaboca Berry trees in the future to cultivate the Gligar, enabling the Gligar family to grow faster until they could rival the Flygon family.

In Yuga's Ecopark, there were only these two Ground-type Pokémon families, and they inevitably competed with each other. However, this competition wasn't a bad thing. Reasonable competition could promote the mutual progress of both families.

However, the Gligar family was currently too weak, lacking the qualifications to compete with the Flygon family, whether in quantity or quality. The gap in high-end combat power was even more apparent.

Nevertheless, Yuga was determined to elevate both families side by side.

While living in the Desert Sub-Ecopark, they would inevitably compete with each other, but such competition wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Healthy competition could stimulate mutual progress.

Despite the Gligar family's tough situation, especially given the overwhelming strength of the Flygon family, the Gliscor Leader had always been dedicated to his family's development. He harbored the constant desire for the Gligar family to surpass the Flygon family, even if his efforts seemed futile.

The appearance of mutated Jaboca Berries had now given their family hope.

However, the flaw of mutated Jaboca Berries was glaring: they couldn't be mass-produced. In one growth cycle, only one mutated Jaboca Berry could be produced from a single tree.

So, even with the help of mutated Jaboca Berries, the Gligar family needed to work harder than the Flygon family to catch up.

Once these three blue potential baby Gligar were born, they would undoubtedly be nurtured as future leaders of the Gligar family. After all, these three Gligar were the most outstanding in terms of qualifications the Gligar family had seen in years.

Having successfully cultivated blue potential Gligar, Yuga finally felt relieved. Now he only had to wait for the hatching of the baby Gligar.

Yuga eagerly anticipated their arrival, and the Gliscor Leader shared this excitement.

As Yuga prepared to leave the Ecopark, he witnessed the Chatot frantically flying toward him, shouting, "Something's wrong, something's wrong!"

Puzzled, Yuga asked, "What's happened that's got you so agitated?"

The Chatot gasped for breath and said, "That Kirlia is causing trouble. You need to go check it out!"

As soon as the Chatot mentioned Kirlia, Yuga knew exactly who it was. In the entire Ecopark, the only troublemaker was the Kirlia he had taken from Butler and Diane.

Originally, Yuga had contemplated dealing with it, but with just one Kirlia, he couldn't conveniently ask his master to contact the League's breeding base for handling. Therefore, he had left it in the Ecopark, under the supervision of Medidite and the Natus.

Despite the Kirlia's persistent resistance, Yuga hadn't considered killing it. After all, it hadn't done anything wrong; it had merely chosen the wrong owner. Yuga wasn't so bloodthirsty.
