"Why did you hit me?" I asked, my expression showing confusion. 

"Because you're the worst!" she retorted, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. 

She was expecting a solution to her problems from me, but my response only served to make a fool out of her. 

This time, I sensed that I had really went overboard with my jokes. 

With a more matured mind, enriched by life's experiences, I chose to be the better person and do what was right. 

"I'm telling you the truth, though," I insisted. 

That's right!

The best course of action was to continue lying. 

After all, I possessed the power to turn lies into truths at will, so why bother admitting ? 

In essence, I embodied the truth itself. 

If I were to claim that the moon was made of cheese and faced with accusations of lying, I wouldn't waste time apologizing for being wrong. 

Instead, I'd just turn the moon into cheese.
