Soon it was the day of the engagement party.

Cillian invited numerous celebrities to attend the party.

Early in the morning, he took us to the styling studio.

Aiden couldn't move when she saw the beautiful dress.

Looking at Aiden posturing in front of the mirror, Cillian sighed with emotion, "Kristen, how nice it would be if she were our daughter!"

He was simply being crazy.

"So you have the hobby of being someone's father."

He tilted his head to look at me. "Doesn't Aiden need a father? Or do you want to tell her that her father is the wreck lying in bed?"

"Do you want to give her hope and disappoint her again?"

I was indeed hesitating.

That was why I hadn't taken Aiden to see Joshua.

If she knew that her father was lying in bed and might never wake up...

It might be more difficult for her to accept than not having a father.

Cillian coaxed me in a low voice, "Kristen, we're the only ones who know the truth."
