"Alright then. So, how have you been in general? Did you… enjoy this time you had for yourself after you quit the guild?" Liu Wei asked, trying to change the topic.

Unfortunately, that only made Yu Qingyu feel even worse, because it reminded him that Liu Wei seemed not to believe in his words at all… Unable to stop himself from crying, he lowered his head, trying to hide his face. Still, his shaking shoulders betrayed him.

Liu Wei stared at him with wide eyes, taken aback. "…Did I say anything wrong?"

Yu Qingyu immediately shook his head, trying to calm down a bit, to no avail. 

"D-did y-you think I was lying?" he muttered between the sobs. "D-do you really mistrust me t-this much?"

"…What?" Liu Wei stared at his opponent dumbfounded. What in what he said brought it up now? "I'm not sure what you mean?"

"The mission. You lost…"
