That was his head telling him he had to do this. That was the reasonable thing to do despite their circumstances. She needed him in a time like this. 

He could not turn his back on her now, not when she had limited options. He could tell she did not want to go home to her parents, not in her current situation. He could not blame her since it was mainly his fault.

"Given our present status, I took the liberty of preparing the other room for you. I know..." Dale would like to explain more, but she stopped him.

She usually slept in his bed when she had her sleepovers. All her stuff used to be in his cabinet or all over his room, just waiting for her to return and visit. 

He even talked to her about moving in since they got engaged. But she opted to wait until after the marriage. He did not know if that was a good thing or not.
